Hatton's slurring speech?

Does anybody else think that since the Mayweather defeat, that Ricky is slurring ever so slightly?

I certainly thought so.

Whether it was down to booze or just the after effects of the beating, I don't know, but he does seem to be slurring a bit.

So its all down to Hatton's drinking, not Floyd Mayweather.

So we have now - Joe Cortez is too blame, Ricky's mis tactics is too blame, Ricky falsely think Floyd underestimated him is too blame, Ricky being a faded fighter is too blame (29 years of age and criticised for being over protected for most of those years), Ex Super Featherweight Floyd being too big for Ricky is too blame.... Shall we throw in any more - Hatton thinking of DLH?, Hatton passive smoking of Billy Graham's fags? Hatton not having a sex ban?

Anyother.

Here is a novel one - Perhaps Floyd Mayweather being the best damn fighter in the planet.... and would beat 99% of Welters in a more convincing fashion.

Well said stu. I seem to remember you were one of the few who didn't get caught up in the Hatton hype leading up to the fight and said that it was a step too far.

Mayweather deserves credit for his victory and the manner of the victory.
Billy and Ricky were telling us how it was the perfect camp and how he was in the best shape of his life.

There are no excuses.

He was just pished. I think the laughing from Buncey, conveniently perched between Calzaghe and Hatton's shoulders showed you that.

Remember it was what 1pm over there. Hatton had probably been on a bender until 6 or 7am and was back on it.

And who can blame the poor sod. He just got paid £10million, he deserved a few slurps.

Don't forget the guy had been punched in the face for 10 rounds, i'm sure he would have some damage in and around the mouth, and a sore jaw, this always makes it differcult to speak as well.

even at 24, 25 he would have struggled with a talent like floyd.

hatton has always struggled more with speed and velocity rather than brute strength, hence the reason he sparkled against tszyu and castillo.

Every single interview I have seen given by Hatton since the fight(not including the one staright after the bout of course)I reckon he has been pissed!

Talking about a man who loves his drink apparently, and has had to go without for months.

I bet the first thing he did once he got back into the changing room that night was have a beer or six

He would never have beaten Mayweather whatever his lifestyle but I do worry for him about his drinking, for one thing it wont be helping his career and for another boxers who have been heavy drinkers as well often end up with problems later in life... and what will Ricky do with himself when he nolonger has boxing to hold him back a bit in his heavy drinking?....

The people around him should be ashamed of themselves and especially his Dad/Manager. He's just been knocked out, possibly twice as IMO the corner pad brought him back to consciousness the first time before he went again.

Everyone knows that a Boxer who has been knocked out should not drink alcohol for at least 24 hrs afterwards as in the event of complications he can't be operated on.

Plain stupid to go out and get pissed. Team Hatton are a disgrace to allow it to happen.
