Not really mate no.
As much as I love Sibbo he didn't have the same cache as Hatton did going into the fight - although to be fair if the WBU/WBO had existed then perhaps he would have.
And if you mean the way the fight played out I think Ricky was probably more in the fight than Sibbo was.
Although just reviewing this reminded me how brave Sibson was and how he was in it right up until the end against an all time great so maybe in that context yes it was similar.
I think a lot of people are underestimating Cotto. Floyd wants no part of him and for good reason. He's a relentless fighting machine. He might not be particularly fleet-footed, but you don't need to be if you're as effective as he is at cutting off the ring.
Remember, too, his last two fights (Judah and Mosley) have been good rehearsals for a Floyd fight in terms of facing speedy fighters. And he did very well. He's also got a good jab. Floyd would start favourite, but I could see Cotto nicking it on points down the stretch, somewhat reminiscent of - and probably equally as controversial as - Trinidad's majority decision over DLH.

I did say Floyd would be favourite. I just think Cotto is being written off too easily. He's bigger and stronger than Hatton and has a better jab. He's dealt with two fast fighters in his last two fights, whereas Hatton had no track record of beating a fast, slick world class operator. Cotto also hammered the super-quick, elusive Malignaggi. He would definitely have a chance against Mayweather.
I'm confident Cotto would beat him. I'm convinced Mayweather is intentionally avoiding Cotto like the plague. Its rediculous really, the fans, journalists, tv networks, everybody, should be forcing Mayweather into taking this fight.
Like in every other sport the best should take on the best, boxing is no exception!

Fights that I think would be appealing.
Cotto - Don't think Miguel stands a chance, but he is the most worthy of a shot.

DLH - Nearly beat him the last time - can he fight better, agewise no - rusty wise.... possibly. DLH's speed was a problem and always will be (untill he gets too old) - he seemed faster handed than Mayweather last time.
I think Mayweather would be too elusive for Pavlik and Taylor too - I really believe that he is that good.

I agree. I think we're starting to see a top 10 all time fighter. Maybe 2 more decent fights and you're there.
