Re: JOE LOUIS MOVIES
I remember he had a walk on in Quincy in the 70's, he didn't have to do much except shake shake Jack Klugman's hand and look menacing, but he did it very well.p4p1 wrote:am i wrong to believe joe louis acted in some movie if im not were they any good and could he act?

Louis was an absolutley horrible actor.
So was Dempsey - even though he did his films during the silent film era.
Probably the best boxer turned actor was Victor McLaglen who won an academy award in 1935.
But you could easily argue that he was an actor who boxed rather than a boxer to later acted.
James Corbett was said to be a good stage actor, but he was never filmed while doing this.
Got a feeling we would find his acting rather corny today though.

Louis:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0521876/
And Corbett did indeed get filmed.

Quite a few other champs as well if you do some searching.
