I used to like coming on this forum to learn about boxing from people with genuine knowledge and insight. Now it seems most threads just contain comments from argumentative peasants, intent on establishing themselves as some sort of pseudo-celebrities on an online boxing forum….

It’s tragic really. I don’t think this forum will last much longer as anything decent at this rate.

Yes, Spud leaves a trail of destruction wherever he posts.... but others don't help - he can't argue with himself. (well... maybe).

Why not just lock this thread, and in future if you don't appreciate his "i know something you don't" threads, just ignore them?

It would be a rediculous if an intelligent forum like this went down the shitter, like so many others have, because one man feels the need to crave so much attention, and everyone else goes for the bait.

Surely you are just adding fuel to the fire by posting the above? A couple of "Spud" threads will do no harm to boxrec. People know they are just a joke. As has been said, the only reason forums have gone down the toilet previously is because Spud had editorial input on moderation rights. He has neither here, nor will he, I suspect.

So wind you neck in and eff off back to the piste. Boarding is better than boarding, if you get my drift.

I'm not bitter, just find many of you pricks very sad. Deliberately coming onto the forum to slag Spud off and then thinking that I give a toss for putting you straight? Give over. I sacked forums off a long time ago.

I'm currently at work, bored and counting down to 5pm. What you sad cases haven't grasped is that I provoke such responses from you to entertain me. You're doing a great job - cheers!

I used to love posting on forums - SecondsOut, Eastside, Doghouse - the majority of you followed us to the lot, in droves, too. We had the whole of British boxing checking us out.

Sure, we dropped a few bollocks along the way but without us two arseholes your working week was devoid of any stimulation. Me and Spud should be knighted. Seemingly many of you can't live without us.

But by virtue of replying to him, you are. Why don't some of you 5,000+ posts pricks get that? If you can't stand Spud, don't respond to his posts, don't encourage him to come back at you, and on, and on, and on again.

One thing I don't get is that why people are rounding on Spud on this particular matter. He's been flagging the Hatton ticket fiasco for weeks (however small some of you regard it) and his points have always been valid in this instance.

It didn't need Boxing Chat to acknowledge this and then suddenly be appauded for it when he thinks the majority of you are tossers anyway. Time to put some of your many thousand posts to good use, Silkov. Go on, have a go.

I'm not Spud's page boy, he knows I think he's a tosser, but I'll stick up for him when necessary. I'm tired of all the predictable Spud bashing. YOU and the rest of the happy clapper brigade are just as responsible for bringing the tone of the forum down but are blind to it (maybe you do wank?).
