haumonos next fight

Maybe boxrec have started rating Haumono agan from when he took up boxing again and havent factored in the 1st part of his career. If that were the case i could see why Hoppa was rated ahead of him because hes had more fights at this current stage,

Look at tommy Morrison hes rated well down because they havent taken into account the 40+ fights from earlier in his career which makes sense really otherwise with his record hed be ranked in the Top 25 which is obviously nto accurate

This year Haumono has had 5 fights and won them all by KO. Hopoate has had 6 fights for 4 wins and been KOed once. The opposition has been similar.

I still can't understand it.

Haumono and Hopoate are on the Mundine/Hamden card with opponents to be named. "Fingers" has an eight rounder while Solo has a six rounder.

Why not have Solo as Hopper's opponent in the eight and make the six between two other fighters? Makes sense to me.

I'm afraid that Solomon would KO Hoppa quite quickly due to Hoppa's lack of ring craft and speed. But the fight will never happen as they have vowed never meet each other inside the ring.

Also Hoppa knows that if the bout ever happened, the next day he would be down at Centrelink's counters. He can't return to football as he is now too old and washed up (and has a few carry over suspension problems). Being a brickie is too much like hard work. With eight kids to feed, Hoppa would be great value as a sperm bank donor.

They do not make you stop boxing if you lose a fight. If they did, some greats would never get going. Hell, Bernard Hopkins lost his first fight.

The answer is: New Zealander Joey Wilson.

Joey is a big lump of a lad but has only 5 bouts under his belt and his only loss was being outpointed by journeyman Richard Tutaki over 4.

Joey will be very much struggling to see out the six rounder and it is well overdue for Solomon to step in class.

Very disappointing again.Solo's management should look at Cliff Couser. Cliff is a journeyman US fighter who is 36 years old. His recent record is showing battlescars but he is keen to fight here.Boxrec has him at no. 126 to Solos 170 odd. Remember Mirovic rates close to Couser.Solo's handlers have the money to make this happen. Fighters like Billy Dib, N'dou, St Clair etc. at some point took chances and stepped it up. The Joey Wilson days should be over for Solo. A talent being wasted.

This is ridiculous. The kid has won five of six fights, but three of them were against a bloke who started fighting after he did!

He sounds like Bob Hope's brother. No Hope. :(

obviously gonna be short notice unless he fights hoppa who was gonna fight on this card but isnt named now

Hoppa is nowhere near the level of Haumono to take him on.
I doubt a suitable opponent will be found for Solo at short notice and therefore will most likely drop out.
