Alex Arthur vs Amir Khan

Post by Dioufy »

Could this happen? I mean Arthur has said that he struggled to make the weight against Steve Foster Jr, so would a clash with these two be in contention? And if it did happen, who would you think would/could win?

As crazy as it sounds I wouldnt be surprised if Khan beat him, especially if Arthur doesnt tidy up the low left. As it stands I'd bet on Arthur now, although Khan should go further.

Think AA is going to stay at SFW as he's had advice that he can still make the weight.

I haven't seen Sat's fight but if Steve Foster can stun and floor him then I would expect Amir to give him a test, if not stop him.

It wasn't a flash KD, he was out of the ring and looked very ragged in 11 and 12.

Speed kills... and Arthur's got no defence. Khan would blow him away...

Agreed, Alex would not avoid Khan for long, and would be slower, lighter hitting, less strong.

Alex will never fight Khan.

1 day. not quite yet. I hope they make the fight. If he could batter a Euro level fighter it would look very good. If they ever make the fight it's only when they're certain that Khan wins it. Right now Arthur could be a WBO champ so they will have to milk that udder for the time being.

Just like if Willie limmond can knock khan down heavy and shake him to his boots when Arthur murdered him??

It would be a good fight arthur would maybe be a lot better at that weight and whatever anyone says of him he can bang so would test amirs chin a lot more than limmond did.

Two dodgy chins, two hard punchers, two big domestic names. Sounds like a contender for FOTY 2008 already.

Arthur has stated that he wants to be a 3 weight world champ so maybe he waits around till Guzman hands him the title and waits for Khan to pick up a title of his own a weight up before making that fight.

If not, then Scott Harrison against either of them would be very interesting in my mind.

As much as I think Khan would do him, it wouldn't be good now. There's a chance Khan will win but be exposed a bit while doing so.

it would make more sense if Khan takes on Thaxton before taking on AA.

some sort of "Big Title Defence"

Not going to happen. They are both marcetable Warren fighters Arthur to the scottish fans and Khan to everyone. He would lose one cash cow for sure.

I think Arther isn't terribly good whats more I think Warren knows that but likes making money off him.
