British P4P Update - Deadline 00:00 GMT 1/1/08

Post by Poncey »

Hi Guys,

As there's no more fights affecting British fighters, or at least British fighters that will affect this list, I'd thought I'd start the voting for changes early.

Here's the list from November:
Pos Name
1 Calzaghe
2 Hatton
3 Haye
4 Witter
5 Woods
6 Maccaranelli
7 Arthur
8 Froch
9 Rees
10 Moore
11 Lynes
12 Khan
13 Cook
14 Hunter
15 Jennings
16 Duddy
17 Elcock
18 Earl
19 McIntyre
20 Dunne

I have listed below any results that might affect this list to help (existing entrants in bold):

Mayweather TKO10 Hatton
Khan RSF1 Earl
Abraham KO5 Elcock
Watson RSF9 Nuuembembe
Williams NC4 Platov
Murray UD10 Munguia
Duddy PTS10 Eastman
Arthur PTS12 Foster Jr
Simpson PTS8 Al Hamidi
Lockett RSF2 Kauramaki
Burns PTS6 Smith
Anderson KO6 Cover
Lee RTD6 McKay
Napa UD12 Power (special dispensation, as the fight happened on deadline day)

Existing Entrant Rules
Please indicate your vote on any of the above in the existing list as follows:

[name] no change/up to [number]/down to [number]/off the list

New Entrant Rules
If you want to add someone from the above list of December fights please indicate the following:

[name] new entry [number]

If you want to add someone that hasn't fought in December fights please indicate the following:

[name] new entry

The fighter will automatically be assigned to number 20. Please note you must specify a fighter in the existing list who has fought in December you want to replace.

C'mon Lads. Get your nominations in. Be a shame if this died on its ass.

Sorry EPNG - perhaps its too much Christmas wine - but I don't understand your format for the update. I don't follow the Current scene version.

I'll list you how I would rank a P4P top 20 - but don't think thats what you want.

Hatton down to 3

Khan up to 9

Earl out of top 20 (i'd assume just to be replaced by number 21, or should i nominate someone?)

nb. I would say Arthurs performance against Foster showed he is, P4P, not as good as Froch, though Froch didnt fight so im not sure if this is a legitimate reason for changing?

No worries stu, I'll explain.

For each fighter in the existing top 20 list I have posted in this thread, please specify whether they should go up, down, or stay as they are. Here's an example:

Hatton no change
Khan up to 8
Earl down to 19
Elcock off the list

Then, if you felt that a fighter I have placed in bold, who isn't already on the list, should be added please specify their name and new number. Here's an example:

Napa 20

Hope this helps mate, if it's still not clear let me know. Enjoy the wine, Lad!

Please specify the new entrant you wish to add Mario to replace Earl. I will assume other fighters you haven't listed, who fought in December, will remain unchanged.

Thanks mate

That is great mate

I would have Woods at 4 and Froch up a place and Matthews just in the top ten.

I would have Foster in the top 20 for the Arthur effort and Napa in for recent form.

Sorry forgot to mention Napa in at 17.

Froch up to 7

Arthur down to 8 (in case that wasnt clear in the original post)

The rest unchanged.

Woods and Matthews can't move, as they haven't fought in December.

I will assume you want Foster at 20 and Napa in at 19, replacing McIntyre and Dunne.

Please resend the list only moving fighter's that have fought in December as several boxers have moved down the list without fighting, e.g. Lynes below Cook.

Thanks

Indicate where you'd like both Earl and Thaxton on (or off in Earl's case maybe) the list please.

Thanks
