Regardless of what Bonin was or wasn't, Haye looked good at the weight and made a case for himself as a heavyweight contender.
This is a really good match up, you can make a case for both guys winning, both are bangers and both can be hurt. Haye probably has the edge in skill while Macc has a touch more raw power. I'm leaning towards a Haye win, ....it looks to me as being Haye early or Macc late... but overall Haye gets my vote to win a up and down classic.... this fight just cant be bad imo...

No champion has distinguished himself as badly as Macca (in terms of PR and easy title defenses though his win over Braithwaite was impressive) in 2007. Yet it APPEARS Haye may have sold out & given the bully boys all the advantages.
That said, we've seen Frank jump the gun before. Remember when Calzaghe-Kessler was "on" even when Kessler hadn't signed. We were deceived for a long time until HBO came on board.

Enzo has been dropped and stopped earlier in his career so there is a definate question mark about how he'll react to Hayes power... I think Hayes better experience against tougher opposition will be the telling point in the end, you cant underestimate his stoppage win over Mormeck who is as tough as nails...

No, that he might not struggle for the weight (Cruiserweight) as much as your making out he is.
There's a good chance Herbie Hide would get knocked out vs Enzo or David at Cruiser, but could probably beat John McDermmott at Heavyweight. Doesn't mean he is dead as a cruiser.... maybe, the reason for Haye's "deterioration" is cause the quality of opponent has been better at Cruiser.
Well I dont see how anyone can say that Haye has deteriorated after he beat Mormeck, who is a very good world class fighter whose leagues ahead of anyone Enzo has ever faced...

Enzo was stunned by Hobson also. Mock caught Haye with a temple shot, they discombobulate you and can put you over for a count.
Haye took some bombs from Thompson and was stopped for his own safety. People like Max do not understand that being hit by Hobson and being hit by Thompson and Mormeck are a different kettle of fish.
Yeah, I think Enzos recent opposition will do him no favours against Haye... he has a chance, but he'd have an even better one if he had fought more live opponents recently....

True - I am on the fence.... this is a great fight. All I am saying is I don't want any excuses or lines like "Enzo's done it via the back door" if Mac wins.
Maccarinelli's chin is a definite concern. Stretched by Swaby, stunned by Hobson and I also thought he was badly wobbled by Marcelo Dominguez at the end of a round (the 4th, I think) where he stagggered back into the turnbuckle in a neutral corner only for the bell to ring immediately after.
Disappointingly, Braithwaite rarely found the mark so I'm not sure Big Mac answered the lingering questions. Credit Enzo though for a really good display.
It's conceivable that Haye's speed will prove pivotal and that he'll nail Enzo early and take him out. But if he doesn't Maccarinelli has a huge chance. He's developed a hurtful jab, can punch in either hand, particularly with the left hook and I'd like to see him test Haye with some body shots. Enzo's the fighter who has improved going into this.
