What is he the champion of? To be honest I would say from that video that he has only been boxing for about 6 months, at least based on the heavybag part. If thats the case I think hes ok, but I am suprised to see that he is 15-3. Alot of guys I know with worse records look more skilled then that and have better technique.

Anybody can look good hitting a heavybag 'cause heavybags don't punch back. Let's see some sparrring or a real bout.

some advice for you..... were some bag glove on the heavy bag
before you mess up your wrist and all your hard work is for nothing.
also remember this,
a amateur record dont mean as much as the amount of expierence you have...
i have boxers with so - so records but,
from day one we never turned down a fight,
no disrespect, dont know how long you been fighting,
and it looks like your a hard worker.
so good luck champ.

Took the words out of my mouth babyhuey. Where is his bag gloves. I'm not sure what I'm supose to be looking at. He jumped rope, yea nothing great there. He hit the heavy bag fair, He did some exercises. yea. Where is the sparring. If he walks around that close that a boxer in the ring, I pay for the rights to advertise on the soles of his shoes. We have all seen guys that can shadow box or hit the bag and mitts well, then they step in the ring and the truth is unleashed/ No disrespect young man but if you want a real honest critque send us some spparring clips.

Sparring with a good open-class boxer or a good pro. Not some novice without any skills.

Sounds like time for a road trip.

We have traveled up to 150 miles for sparring and we have had guys come to our gym to visit and spar who live 1,000 miles away.

"Gym closed" just sounds like an excuse.

It sucks.

That's the short version. Although some places like Belgrade and Novi Sad aren't too bad.

Easier said than done, particularly for Serbia, as it isn't part of the EU. I think they have a lot harder requirements than say travelling from Germany to France or Spain or the UK.

Who has he competed against? Could he join one of the gyms that they trained out of?

If he really wants to box, he will find a way to train, spar and compete.

Gyms closing down is nothing new. It happens to many boxers. It just sounds like an excuse.

Is there only one boxing gym in Serbia?

The refurb of any gym should'nt take too long anyway, so if what you say is true, the sparring vids will be up pretty soon :TU:

no there is not only 1 gym, but it's a small number of boxing gyms in belgrade, also he doesn't want to change gym because he is waiting for renewing to be done, so he can continue with practicing....so sparing video will be in few weeks... shadowboxing video can be uploaded sooner if you want.

You don't have to change gyms just to get a bit of quality sparring my friend :TU:

Still, look forward to seeing the sparring vids soon. :TU:

The kid looks like he has a good base to work with. However, he needs allot of work on basic fundamentals. I think what our good friend DENNIS is trying to say is don't use too many excuses. Do what needs to be done to get the kid good work. I may be wrong. If I am sorry DENNIS.

Being from Los Angeles, some of the kids I have trained with no fights and only gym work would have hurt this kid. This is not a knock on you or the kid. I am trying to stress to you the importance of getting him good sparring and quality gym work.

Take care and good luck.

ELA - you are correct. I have guys who travel to our gym because their gym is closed for the holidays, the season, and many other reasons. They don't stop training, they find solutions. It is known as how bad do you want it. We also have boxers who ask to work out at our gym and we usually let them when they are in town on vacation. VACATION - and yet they still train.

The kid looks OK. Rau'see Warren and Andre Dirrell were a whole lot more impressive at that age. So were Gary Russell, Sammy DiPace and many others. An 11 year old can be very good and not progress as a teenager or adult. Then the opposite can also be true.
