Howard Eastman

Post by Hellephant »

"The venue for Howard Eastman's European middleweight title defense was confirmed today as the Goresbrook Leisure Centre in Dagenham, England, on January 30th"

Where the hell is this place where Howard Eastman will fight Sendra?
Anywhere near London?

Dagenham is in Essex - one of the most picturesque counties in England - only an hour Max from London, it boasts some of the sweetest and prettiest villages in the country: Romford and Grays to name but two.

The Essex people are also famously friendly - particularly the Ladies, whose Beaty and intelligence is near legendary in the UK. An Essex Man (as they are affectionately known) will almost certainly hail you with the greeting "Oi Mate, wot's your fackin problem ven, you cant".

Ah yes, and who could forget the joy's of Colchester, the most ancient town in England, and preserved in all it's quaint historical glory.....a delightful garrison town, full of hale and heart men of the armed services, ready to greet you with open arms and regale you with stories of their armed combat training, just before kicking the shit out of you...

I had the terrible misfortune to go to Uni in Essex, and lived in Colchester for 4 years......what a waste of 4 years.

one can enjoy the tremendous generosity of the towns ladies in the fine entertainment establishment known as the "hippodrome". Where the town folk flaunt their goods and the towns gentlemen cruise by in splendidly ornate vehicles

I wonder if I ever met you....

Do you remember a society there called 'The friends of Amsterdam' they used to run loads of e-fuelled parties on the campus, as well as trips to Amsterdam.

I must admit, I never went anywhere near the gym......did you do any boxing at Essex, there was a guy called Keith there, black dude I used to know who I think was an amateur boxer there.

Who did you used to knock about with?

Didnt box up there, but the little black dude who used to run security in the dance hall was quite a decent boxer/kick boxer.

The old gym used to have a punch bag in which i used occasionally

Who did i hang out with?? Generally at the soul society do's.
incidentally watched Benn v Eubank 2 on my first week at essex!!!
i do indeed remember the friends of amsterdam

I also ran an RnB/Hip Hop thing called PHAT, did quite a few parties at which the soul society people used to play......

You sent it to me by mistake Knockout. James, the basic gyst of his email was this: ''I used to really look up to you at Uni', I always wanted to be like you, I sometimes dressed up in clothes like yours and mimicked your odd walking style. You were great, looking at you back in the day made me ask a lot of hard questions about myself, I think you were my first love, any chance of a picture or perhaps we could meet up, are you involved with anyone at the moment?''

Each to their own I suppose :)
