I don't believe this one, its not on google news which is usualy a good beromita or FW's website or fightnews. So ether this guy knows something non of us do or he's talking crap

It makes no commercial sense whatsoever to put it on at Yankee Stadium at any time of the year, let alone April.

Have any of you been to Yankee Stadium within the last 7 or 8 years, it is ancient and in a right rought area.

When I went, there were crack addicts trying to sell us fire extinguihers they had stolen from a hotel. My mate actually asked them whetehr they were suitable for electrical appliance fires.

I pulled him away pretty sharpish before we got killed

Calzaghe Hopkins should be Las Vegas or Cardiff, but Bernard hasnt got the bottle to come here.

I thought it was JOE who is burning to have a fight in the US?

And why don't they do it in MSG? I doubt they would sell more than 20000 tickets for JC vs. BH anyway. This is not exactly Joe Louis vs. Max Schmeling, is it.

There is no big American Italian community any longer in New York. What used to be Little Italy has long been swallowed by Chinatown. However, MSG is a couple of miles north of both.

It would be harder for the promoter's to use it, as the NBA season is still in full swing. However, they are managing it for Jones Jr v Trinidad.

Great news for Joe, if true.

In fact, any fight with Hopkins is great news, beacause there's no way he'll lose against aged '4 punches a round' hopkins.

Hopkins may well mess him up and make him look worse than normal, but there's no way this version on Hopkins can cope with an outsdanding operator who throws 1100 punches per fight, every fight.

I wonder how many JC fans will travel over, its pretty much impossible to predict as theres been little precedent, but I reckon there'll be a fair few make the trip (10k) now that Calzaghe is a Taffy God, especially if its over this side of the US in NY.

What's the source fella? Only thing I've seen that implies it's on is a report on fightnews.com regarding Hopkins visiting Sultan's camp for the fight with Klitschko and inviting him to his fight against Calzaghe later in the year.

Only British press, but Times did report it and they're usually spot on.
