training blog for my next fight
training blog for my next fight
Hi everyone, i get alot of questions regarding training, mostly weight training, I am fighting jan 26 in Jakarta Indonesia, the opponent is Richard Tutaki and the fight is 4 rounds, Chris John undercard. I am going to do a blog so people can see how i train in detail.

check it out when you get a chance, any suggestions welcome, and if any other pro fighters want to use my blog to post how they train that would be great.

your not wrong there my 14yr old would beat tutaki, wow won would think mark u would look at a better aponnant 4 a lead up to fighting in the usa,ive seen tutaki in action mate and i dont think his ever been 4rds,usually his looking 4 a hole 2 fall in after 2.dominator wrote:Marlin, the goal is to keep busy before my trip to usa, i wont be taking any big risks before amaerica, i will be rolling the dice there which will be a big test.
we hav seen tutaki plenty of time's over here, are u saying he never trained 4 any of them fights?this fight is a waste of time and wont help mark at all.N2 Shape wrote:If Tutaki actually trains and comes in shape and wanting to fight, he can be a useful fighter. I know Mark wont be taking him lightly as hes right, he cant aford any slip ups while awaiting his US trip!
hay fella's i have refereed a few of tutaki's fights over here and i was in charge the nigth mark made short work of the american steve kilarski at the state sports center aug,04,over 4rds this could be interesting.good luck to mark and i wish him all the best in the usa...N2 Shape wrote:What I am saying is if he trained seriously like Mark is obviously doing right now then he'd at least be solid opponent, not just a fall guy or punching bag like hes been in Aussie recently. Like Mark said hes inconsistant.

wow man, can i get an info from you in what weight class do you fight? i am traning also boxing, not fighting though....i am sure i am doing something wrong in my training, but i am doing much more work in a trainig session than you....but i am not training every day though, but every second or third day...i weigh 95 kg, 188 cm, I used to do around 110 minutes of hard work on the heavy bag, usually 7 minute rounds... 15-20 3 minute rounds with mitts, 2 hour athletic training and 2 hours of weight training...one training lasts usually 2 hours...dominator wrote:Hi everyone, i get alot of questions regarding training, mostly weight training, I am fighting jan 26 in Jakarta Indonesia, the opponent is Richard Tutaki and the fight is 4 rounds, Chris John undercard. i just decided to write it down, so we can share training experiences....
good luck on your next fight! thumbs up!
greenmachine, i train depending on my recuperative abilities, i am fighting 4 rounds so i have to pack as much intensity as i can into those rounds, if you are doing alot more maybe you should aim to cut it down slightly but push alot harder in those rounds, if i was fighting a 12 rounder i would do more volume, but any excess endurance eats into power and recovery time, so i try to balance it.

Do you really think you would have to train hard to beat Fatarse Tutaki?dominator wrote:Hi everyone, i get alot of questions regarding training, mostly weight training, I am fighting jan 26 in Jakarta Indonesia, the opponent is Richard Tutaki and the fight is 4 rounds, Chris John undercard. you are right, mate, at the moment i am trying to build endurance and fitness...during workouts i am changing the intensity all the time and ifound out, that this method builds endurance bigtime...it works for me, may not work for others...yes, you won t stay anabolic after an hour, you really have to take care about that, but me, i am not fighting and you know when the passion gets you DURING TRAINING, you can t stop..ANYWAYS, YOU HAVE STRICT PLANS, GOALS AND HAVE TO TRAIN REALLY SMART.

Re: mark
I can't see too much wrong with staying busy before he heads over to the US. It is certainly better than not fighting at all...middleman wrote:your wrong,he can alway's fight pat kennedy 4 wbf title.wouldn't that be classed as a big fightluke.91 wrote:mark stop fighting nobodys test urself have a go we all want to see go fights in 2008 not mismatchs after tutaki are u goin to fight jumar dulog who is a feather weight to get ready for the big fight the truth is there will not b a big fight!!![]()

Nothing wrong with fighting Tutaki, he hasnt fought in a while so needs to fight.
Mark what are your thaughts on doing weights in the morning then boxing training at night? have heard different storys some say dont do weights the same day as you train for boxing whilst others say as long as you give yourself time to recover between each session it doesnt matter.
