Motherwell footballer Phil O'Donnell dead at 35. Discuss.

We all know the risks of Boxing and steps and measures are always being looked at to make the sport safer. Unfortunately it's a dangerous business and tragedy will always occur.

R.I.P. Choi Yo-Sam

Bloody hell, won the fight and died afterwards !!! - Very tragic - A reminder of how dangerous contact sports can be - We just cant argue when refs see the head being jerked back without reply and they step in.

Of course very tragic events and something we need to address as a sport. The question I would ask is are the safety regulations and requirements for doctors the same in south Korea as they are in the UK and USA, if they aren't then I hope this is a warning that the sport will heed in that country and hopefully other neighbouring countries.

All in all a tragedy which happens in the sport as there are tragedies in all sports, people in boxing clearly know and have drilled into them those risks associated with the sports and I warrant it has saved more liefs of wayward young people than it has cost but that's not such a media story.

As was said above it does show how difficult the job of the ref is and that we shouldn't give them so much shit.

Thoughts with his family obviously.
