Herman Ngoudjo

Post by Dioufy »

I feel so sorry for this guy as he could easily be one of the leading 140lb'ers. For me he got a very bad decision last night, a very tough call against Jose Luis Castillo and was made to look quite bad when the judges gave him a split-decision against Randell Bailey, even though I had Herman Ngoudjo in front by three, possibly even four at the end.

Good fighter, but his career has been tarnished by crap decisions.

I had him winning 116-112 last night and had him beating Castillo 115-113. For me hes no3 at 140 behind Witter and Hatton.

He is seven I think now after last night, which is ludicrous - the IBF need to sanction a rematch in Vegas/Montreal with European judges if they don't want to lose their reputation.

yeah it's not very fair to the fella. I watched most of it today (Sunday) and from what I saw it looked a very close affair, you could have made a case for Ngoudjo winning that. He's 28 I believe so he should get another crack at some point.
I thought the Chazz Witherspoon - Kendrick Releford fight was a good little tussle, quite a good workrate for heavies as well (moreso from Releford really, who looked ready to drop from exhaustion from about round 3 onwards)........I think the commentator was right who kept saying that that's maybe why Witherspoon hasn't been moved along faster.

He'd make a very good opponent for Junior if he can't tempt Hatton, wouldn't have thought it would be too difficult to get him over here either
