Any news about Inkin-Froch?

Post by Maxime »

A few weeks ago the WBC announced that Froch and Inkin would fight in a WBC Title eliminator. Then nothing...

Anyone heard news or rumors about this? Is it going to happen?

Froch vs Inkin should be a great fight, Inkin is a Russias best and a win for Froch in this one will open a lot of doors.

That won't be the date of Froch's fight. It is looking increasingly likely that it will be at the Nottingham Arena in March, however.

Purse bids were scedualed for early janurary so ether way we should know soon. Don't seem to have been any press relices other than the statment on the website.

When will we know if the fight is likely to be for a vacant title or an eliminator? I suppose the obviouse answer is when Calzaghe announces his next fight but I wonder if the WBC will allow him to keep his belts regardless.

Purse bid imminent - either tomorrow (sunday) or Monday.

Noon they open the envelope i think in Mexico.

Universum haven't been jumping up and down demanding to stage this fight.... but is that a bluff ?

Either way Froch knocks him out early - prob inside 6 rounds.

So there will be no concern about going to Germany for it... besides the beer is good there
