I'm pretty damn sure that he wouldn't retire. Also, these comments came after saying that Haye would possibly never fight again due to a bad hand, and that Haye would never make cruiser again, never mind beat Mormeck.

Anyway, Warren is promoting the high profile, all British superfight, the likes of which we've not seen since the Eubank-Benn-Watson era. Even those fights were mostly just for WBO belts, whereas this is just about an undisputed title fight. So this is an important event where we can't assume anything.

Really hoping Haye has enough. If Haye IS ok 1 more time at cruiserweight, it may perhaps be even. Haye reckons Enzo is manufactured and with the prolonged development and the poor comp you can see his point regardless of how Big Enzo has looked vs Braithwaite.

Haye also said he's been operating at a higher level, Mac's only taste of world class being past it versions of Dominguez and Braithwaite. Haye makes some persuasive points. On the other hand, I reckon Mac will rise to the occasion on this one.

Often Haye doesn't look as powerful as his reputation suggests, once the bell goes.

Enzo is the 12 round fighter - I side with him for this one.

Be brilliant if Haye does beat Enzo, and an interviewer remembers this. Are the BN chaps planning an interview with Allegedly soon?

Personally I don't think Maccarinelli is even in the same class as David. David's punches will constantly get their first. I don't think he'll really have a problem with him.

I think Haye is just picking his shots far better recently. He doesn't go in throwing bombs that are supposed to knock people out straight away if he feels he might not be able to put them away early (again an example of how the Thompson fight improved him). Whenever he has looked like he starts to really throw with bad intentions, after wearing the opponent down somewhat, he has hurt and stopped them.

Stamina and hand worries probably mean he doesn't throw as many hard shots but when he wants to, there is no doubt he hits as hard as anyone at cruiser

That may be true, but issues like natural weight, stamina and fragile hands.. they have a great tendency to bridge class gaps come fight night.

If you can't see why Enzo has a chance, then you probably think this a boring fight and are wandering what all the fuss is about!!

Enzo is good enough to have a chance and for that reason, this fight is approaching being worthy of the British boxing's most popular cliche
"The Next Eubank and Benn".
The thing about "Eubank and Benn" though was not just that 2 closely matched rivals fought, but that the fight delivered 100%. There is very little chance of that happening. Eubank and Benn was the "Perfect Storm".

Haye will beat Maccarinelli, but allegedly Warren will not retire! I really can't wait for March 8th. The last twelve months, together with some of the fights already scheduled for 2008, it's been a great time for boxing!

Haye will do the business come March 8th & allegedly will have eff on his face!

Did anyone see me write non-exsistent?

Non-punching, lesser fighters than Enzo have stood up well to the Haye bombs before but they haven't had the power to take over.

You think Swaby would hurt the 2008 version of Enzo? I'd say highly unlikely.

Of course Haye's power is more than adequate, but I reject the notion that all he has to do is land 1 solid shot to win this. I think superior conditioning will decide the fight. I cannot see Enzo falling apart the way Mormeck did.

Every opponent Haye has faced post-Alexander Gurov has been more durable than Maccarinelli. Johansen, Abdoul, Fragomeni, Bonin and Mormeck were all sturdier fighters, in my opinion. Enzo carries more power than each of them, but I don't believe he'll cope with Haye's punches the way some of them did (save for Bonin, obviously).

Either way, we're talking as though Haye went the distance with those guys. Apart from Abdoul, he didn't. Even the tougher guys Haye blasts out in the end, nine times out of ten.

Will it take one shot? I don't know. I certainly think this fight is more comparable to the Gurov win than any of Haye's recent wins, though.

If FW did say that it would be in the same vein as "I will dance naked through the high street if....." - No way would Frank quit if Macca lost - Any way its good FW and the Calzaghe camp are all so confident Macca will win.

I got to agree with "Kilburn" in that maybe some are over emphasising Hayes punch.....sure he hits very hard...but its not a case of if he hits somebody their gone first time.

He landed a peach perfect punch on Gurov...almost any other cruiser who`d landed the same would have got the same result.

4 of his last 6 opponents have absorbed the big shots from Haye well enough to last past the half way stage...and they have been the only guys with the winning records on his record :wink: ... and look closer at their record to see alot were seriously over inflated.

Enzo brings something more than any of them will...supreme confidence.

Mormeck had been ko`d the previous year to dent his confidence..the others would have known they were the expected fall-guys from the off..

Enzo has the Swaby defeat...but he`s long been over that...believe me he has no doubts arising from that defeat...he sees that as a lifetime ago.

And he brings almost as good punch power... CalzagheSnr. will have him super-fit ... and this is where the difference could rest.

Haye struggles at the weight...so in a crisis will struggle to absorb shots.
Enzo makes it very easilly...so will have the fitness to come back..

Haye is faster, hits harder, better skilled...though has struggled with stamina and taking big shots even as an amateur.
Enzo is full of confidence, hits hard and is very fit .. but can be hurt.

Haye is the betting favourite, but I won`t be wearing my treasured Hayemaker t-shirt that night..
Enzo has better than a punchers chance..70/30 I make it to Haye.
