WTF? Has Branco pulled out of the Lynes fight?
boxrec have Juho Tolppola in as Lynes opponent (still for the European title though.) Yay? Nay? What's happened. If it is the opponent, wouldn't mind a bit of 1/3 on Lynes with this one :P

Branco pulls out of every fight outside of world level where he has to face somebody who is actually going to pose a threat. I mean the guy is a veteran and has fought for 2 wold titles yet hasn't beat 'anyone' and let me just qualify that by saying 'ever' and indeed hasn't even boxed for the European crown before.
I may be wrong but am I also right in saying he has never boxed Giuseppe Lauri? They have only been fighting in the same weight division for 8 years. Pathetic.
Lynes should demand a title shot with Gavin Rees. I think he'd win that no problems. Rees deserves credit for taking his chance but should never have been there in the first place.

Very true. I just checked that. Was informed that he'd won the 'other' European title ( can't remember what its called but the one in which they fight ten rounders and it doesn't mean anything) but indeed in the time period you said he won it against Gabriel Mapouka and made 2 defences against Allan Vester and George Scott. Those 3 are easily his best wins. Never heard of Mapouka and Allan Vester I only saw getting thrashed against Zab Judah and Eamonn Magee so don't rate that too highly. Scott is a decent win though. He was a good operator at fringe world level.oscar wrote:HE HAS INDEED HELD EURO TITLE AROUND 2001/2 BEST WIN PROBABLY ALAN VESTOR WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING HIM DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS NEW OPPONENTWayoftheCass wrote:Branco pulls out of every fight outside of world level where he has to face somebody who is actually going to pose a threat. Also found out Branco is 37 and currently ranked 71 at the weight by Boxrec. In other words I don't think he had a snow flakes chance so maybe the call-off isn't too disappointing.
