Anybody who want to negotiate with Bernard Hopkins has to go through Boxingtalk.net. Nobody demands 25 per cent of his purses for making a few phone calls! Nobody ties him to ludicrous contracts. Bernard pays long-time trainer Bouie Fisher 10 per cent of his purses and keeps the rest. He gives Boxingtalk.net great publicity and status. Everybody's happy.
So why not British Boxrec?
Why not indeed. I've just decided we're going to represent all of allegedly's boys. They don't know about it, but it's official. Joe Calzaghe is fighting Antonio Tarver on January 29 in a northern town yet to be decided. David Barnes meets Jimmy Vincent tomorrow in Small Heath in Birmingham (Jimmy wanted it that way). Graham Earl fights Bobby Vanzie next week in Bradford (possibly on the same show as Calzaghe-Tarver) and Danny Williams is compulsory retired. The vacant British heavyweight title will be decided by the best two contenders at the moment, Audley Harrison and Matt Skelton.
All phoney WBU and WBO belts have to be relinquished, and our fighters can only challenge for the big three belts.
See. It's not hard!

Gavin Evans and Claude Abrams used to be decent amateurs. Tony Connolly fought a few future pros in his amateur days (Ian Honeywood, Jimmy Thornton, etc).REAL_DEAL wrote:any chance of Boxing News vs Sports Network fights ???????????????
But allegedly and Richard Maynard have never had the enjoyment of feeling leather land hard on bone. That's part of the problem. They're frustrated...
I've commenced negotiations for Hatton to challenge the one-armed Kostya Tszyu on February 7th at the City of Manchester stadium.
Although an outdoor venue would be very cold at this time of year, everybody who comes through the turnstile will receive a complimentry beenie hat and also be encouraged to cuddle the person to your right between rounds.
As promoter on behalf of boxrec I will be sitting next to Kylie.
Ricky said earlier on today that he feels a one-armed Tszyu will still represent his toughest challenge yet and he will prepare accordingly.
We had to pay through the nose to get Tszyu over to Manchester to defend with one good arm though guys, I think I might have emptied the kitty.....
