UK Promoters v US Promoters

In light of the Kevin Mitchell fiasco last night, why do UK Promoters insist on keeping the bill active instead of just refunding the ticket price and rescheduling? In the US, a Promoter will do this (examples last year of Marquez v Juarez and Vargas v Mayorga).

Is it only Pendulfart Warren that does this?

I remember when Dodson pulled out against Froch and he was replaiced by Charles Adamu, one has to respect that kind of brave match making by Hennassy.

I think if you don't have the origanal fight you should at least have an equivilent quality fight at the top of the bill. Warren should be able to do this better than any other promoter because he has a bigger stable of fighters that means the fans get a good show and the undercard fighters and the promoter gets a pay day.

Yes and no, the matchmaking was brave but I don't think that the likes of Thirwell should have been losing to Beardsley with his pedigree in the ams.

I probably question McCracken more, his fighters are all too easily drawn into wars against very poor opposition

And he did rather go for the sink or swim approach of match making.

I think they were Walker, Froch, Thirwell, Meager and Corcoran with Daws coming along a year later. Am I missing any?
