Which Joe Calzaghe did also. But he did not fight a P4P guy, just two relatively untested ones.
They wern't untested enough before Joe thrashed them though the majority said Joe needed them and strangely picked the other guys without looking at the skill and judging off paper.

No one said Kessler or Lacy was untested before Joe outclassed both of them.

The P4p things rubbish, he fought the best In his weight class and cleaned out which Hatton didn't do, one win Is not enough to clean out

FW started to focus more on Joe though once he lost his main money maker and Joe was ducked by a few good names knowing they couldn't win so they get greedy and ask for more money.
Yes they did. I thought Kessler was a very good fighter with a European style that was full of holes, not least the missing left. Lacy was a guy who was only touching 20 bouts but had done things more a little more haste than Joe.

Actually I think you will find that Hatton beat a guy called Kostya Tszyu who was ranked #1 in his class at that time but since then Kostya's pre-fight ranking has been bumped down to #17 and it is alleged that he was 108 years old in ring years. Total nonsense of course.

Your whole post is barely legible nonsense. As a joke some people on here said Hatton would get slaughtered for ducking people to fight Floyd Mayweather (he is rather highly ranked as a boxer), it is no longer a joke but is passed off as a fact.
No people were favouring Kessler because he beat he had two belts which he won off bad fighters and then even worse when he had a tough win over Andrade, who Joe would beat one handed. People favoured him because he can throw a good right.

Yeah and he had to go to war with Tszyu who never fought more than once a year even when he was not Injured while Calzaghe dominates In his best wins. p4ps no legit arguement.

Ha, most of you posts are too pro Manchester anyway. I gave him due for finally fighting Floyd but knew he had no chance unlike most who fell for the pressure tactic weakness.

Rees has only just entered the world scene and should beat the limited Kotelnik though but he should stay away from Hatton.

Hatton has slipped though so It will only be a little one sided. Just that he's stronger than Rees so thats why he'll win.
Make your mind up Max, you say it's the easiest challenge and then state it'll only be a little one sided. Surely if that's the case it's not a bad fight coming off a beating from the p4p number 1 - especially being for a belt.

In truth Rees has zero chance against Hatton, Hatton is a hell of a lot stronger than Rees and hits much much harder. I didn't see better movement, workrate or punch variation from Rees in the M'Baye fight than what Hatton can offer. Rees may be trained by the god that is Enzo Calzaghe but he is well out of his depth here. There is a reason why they would cash in on him and it's not because he would beat the likes of Kotelink easily
I have made up my mind and many here are limited on analyzing skill and Instead use paper and speak words like he'll lick him, who has this guy fought logic and who hits harder logic.

I did say Rees would lose to Hatton but only because Hatton has the size over him, If Hatton just sleepwalks him like he sleepwalked against Floyd, then he will win like he did against Urango.

Rees will beat Kotelnik, he couldn't even take advantage of M'Baye's laziness and Is limited In technique. Kotelnik's only good at the basics like many Brit level fighters.
Well we'll have to wait for Rees' next fight to see if i'm limited on analyzing skill. I happen to think a fighter who is good at the basics (you can put Lynes' name here as well) would beat Rees.
