FIGHT WITTER OR BUGGER OF BACK TO AMERICA RICKY!
No messing, no excuses, chance to earn an excellent purse, get back in the winning habit, finish with the the WBC belt and UK bragging rights and burst the so-called 'pimple' on his backside all in one night.
If Ricky Hatton really wants to pay back all the loyal fans who've forked out thousands to go and watch him in America, nothing less than a domestic tear-up all us fans have wanted for years, against Junior Witter will do.
All those who say Aye!!!

The shots from Witter that koed Harris would have done the same thing to Hatton imo... Witter hits harder than Mayweather, who got his first ko win for a couple of years against Hatton.banjo wrote:you cant compare hatton to the chinless wonder that is vivian(girls name) harris

If Hatton is made for Witter then why would Hatton want to fight him?silkov wrote:The shots from Witter that koed Harris would have done the same thing to Hatton imo... Because you cant claim to be top if you aint, you have to prove it not just say it.Horse wrote:If Hatton is made for Witter then why would Hatton want to fight him?silkov wrote:The shots from Witter that koed Harris would have done the same thing to Hatton imo... Haye/Macca is on and both men were fully aware it was the fight the fans wanted to see - Both Hatton and Witter know they are also the fighters the fans want to see do battle in the LWW division - Witter is more than willing and he is the beltholder, so its up to Ricky Hatton to do the right thing by his fans and face Junior Witter - He could of course fight Mallignaggi, Torres or Hopkins but if his next fight is for his loyal fans they are not who they want to see him fight - Wouldnt it show Hatton if he refuses point blank to fight Witter and hardly anyone turns up for his next fight - Ricky is losing support and he could lose a lot more if he continues to reject a fight against Witter.
I know Witter has never be down but I dare say that he hitts harder than Harris and Corley. I think Witter would win but I think that Hatton's power could win if for him particularly in the later rounds where witter tiers. Also if it goes to points Witter is fucked.silkov wrote:The shots from Witter that koed Harris would have done the same thing to Hatton imo... Just because there is one fighter in a division that has a style to beat Hatton, it doesn't mean that Hatton is not the best overall.WildWaylon wrote:Because you cant claim to be top if you aint, you have to prove it not just say it.Horse wrote:If Hatton is made for Witter then why would Hatton want to fight him?silkov wrote: The shots from Witter that koed Harris would have done the same thing to Hatton imo... Not that I think Hatton is made for Witter.
They are both making a lot of money for that fight. The fight is most likely the best move financially for both men.WildWaylon wrote:Haye/Macca is on and both men were fully aware it was the fight the fans wanted to see
Witter has nothing to lose and everything to gain, Hatton has everything to lose and little to gain. People talk about it as though Witter is really brave for wanting to fight Hatton, whilst he takes very few risks during his fights or in his match making.WildWaylon wrote:Both Hatton and Witter know they are also the fighters the fans want to see do battle in the LWW division - Witter is more than willing and he is the beltholder, so its up to Ricky Hatton to do the right thing by his fans and face Junior Witter - He could of course fight Mallignaggi, Torres or Hopkins but if his next fight is for his loyal fans they are not who they want to see him fight
If Witter was in Hatton's position and Hatton was in Witter's position, would Witter still be calling Hatton out? I very much doubt it.
What evidence is there for a loss of support?WildWaylon wrote:Wouldnt it show Hatton if he refuses point blank to fight Witter and hardly anyone turns up for his next fight - Ricky is losing support and he could lose a lot more if he continues to reject a fight against Witter.

I will try to answer your points - I think its true Haye and Macca are on a very good payday but it is a fight they both want money aside - More of a risk for David I feel - Hatton has made excuse after excuse for avoiding Witter and up until now I have accepted there was better money to be made taking fights in America rather than having a domestic dust up with Witter - Having made a fortune over there he must be set up for life surely - He is now saying he wants to repay his loyal fans with a fight in Britain and the fans want him to fight Witter, so thats what he needs to do - Yes its a risk, every fight has a degree of risk but if he wins his legacy is sealed and his credibility as the best LWW of all time is assured - Avoid Witter completely and ATG status is unlikely in the eyes of many - Finally talking to several friends who are also fed up with this Witter situation and listening to the views of people on here I am certain Ricky is losing a lot of the support he had - Maybe the diehard Manchester fans are still 100% behind him, that wouldnt surprise me, but boxing fans in general just want to see the clash happen and if it doesnt I can see them being pretty fed up with Hatton - The time has come, the time is right for the fight to happen - I wont sit up until 3AM or buy the event to see Hatton fight Torres, Malignaggi or Hopkins never mind go to the venue - I have seen just about every Hatton fight and been a fan and just think it should be Witter or quit - If he does fight Witter I will watch him fight the man in the moon after that.Horse wrote:They are both making a lot of money for that fight.
