Clinton Woods

Before he slips under the radar completely...

...will we see him out soon? Hopefully against someone different. Garay? Briggs? Fight with Green would be great.

Would all be good fights as mentioned.

I think Woods is waiting for confirmation of his next opponent. Apparently Glen Johnson is tied up at the moment, Julio Gonzalez is injured and Jason DeLisle uncertain about his future. So we will wait and see for any movement :D

Glen is fighting Dawson for the WBC title in April, so probably cannot fight again until Autmun.

Ahh right then, so presuming Johnson wins we may get Woods-Johnson IIII. Of course Dawson could throw a serious spanner in the works and win. Clinton cannot face Dawson as they have never previously met. How about Woods-Jones Jnr II then instead?

Methinks he's stranded on Setanta, who seem to be right in there with Warren. Could he end up going to Oz for Briggs or Green?

I read on Sheffield Star's website that they are looking at bringing over Danny Green to Sheffield for a unification.

Actually, just realised that the Johnson/Dawson winner has to fight Dianconu (who's the Interim champion). So Glen, if he wins, won't be available until 2009.

Yeah, but it's a good "keep active" fight and Drews isn't adverse to fighting abroad. Can't see Green coming over, but live in hope.

If the money was better, I think Clinton should go to Oz to box one of them. If there's not much in it, stay at home, of course.

The atmosphere in Sheffield for his last outing was brilliant - the best I've been to for a Woods fight.

i like Woods he's got to the top on probably not the most natural ability.

i'd personally stick him above David Haye in the Brit ratings who to me is a bit of a slugger.....albeit he slugs excellently.

if Jones beats Trinidad, which I know eff all about as regards form (I have an incling Trinidad will stop him)........Woods should box Jones either in Sheffield or the US, rack up a good payday.

Is this Green fella from Oz or something??.......it's like people going on about Calzaghe boxing Mundine cos he's meant to be next best on the list......what's the point?

Any chance of Francis being Woods' next opponent. Have to say on the last showing, Woods won't have a problem. I'm not sure Dean should be licenced.

I think Danny Green would be the fight, it'd make real sence from Woods's point of view. The only people anyone gives a shit about at LHW are Hopkins, Jones, maybe trinidad and Calzaghe when he moves up, non of them have real titles and if anyone unifies a couple of those then they will get a money spinning fight with one of those guys. So if Clinton belives he can do it he should be trying to make that fight.

I think Green would travel if the money was right. True enough he packs out Perth but he was willing to go to the US to face Tarver and fought in Germany twice against Beyer. Briggs would travel as well i think as he has been inactive and finding fights hard to come by. As for Woods-Drews, shoot the man who suggested that one!!

Jones Jr, if he wins, will be facing the winner of Tyson v Holyfield 3.

I hope Green doesn't go for that Mundine rematch. As good a slugger as Green is, he cannot lay a glove on Mundine.

Green really should fight Briggs. What a fight that would be. And maybe the winner to unify with Woods. I'd go to Sheffield for that.

Would love to see Briggs against Woods but question whether or not Briggs has the desire anymore.

Can't see Green coming over, he's lost abroad when he has and surely he'll want to milk what he can when he can.

Drews would be awful, would rather see a Gonalez or Johnson fight again!

If he can secure a nice payday, he should go to Oz and beat Green(which Clinton would do)in a unification, providing it can be made.

Two belts is a fantastic bargaining tool when seeking a massive payday.
