Uk it is then. Woods is one of the few guys I'm happy about having a slice of the alphabet pie and making some money. He is a very genuine and honest guy, in and out of the ring. With a Calzaghe fight looking an impossibility now I think Briggs and Green are the only sensible options left for Clinton, and maybe even vice versa. tbh I didn't know Woods has been ducking Briggs Marlin. He's only been given one voluntary defence in the time he's had the IBF strap.
But anyway, with Erdei obviously a no-goer and Dawson tied up forever and a day as the WBC likes these things, it looks like this match-up will have to do us proud. Whether it's Briggs/Woods with the winner fighting Green, or Green/Briggs with the winner fighting Woods, thats two pretty decent honest fights.

Woods hasn't really had many chances to choose an opponent. It's only because Glen Johnson is fighting Dawson that Woods isn't bogged down by more mandatories of guys he has beaten already for the IBF. Woods-Briggs will be very good IMO. Briggs always brings his best for the title fights.Marlin wrote:Yeah it would have to be in the UK. Does anyone else find it amussing that Woods has waited until Briggs hasn't looked his best and been inactive before sounding him out? A few years ago I would have given Briggs a huge chance in this fight... now I'm not to sure.
WOODS SHOULD FIGHT GREEN!!!
