Yassine El Maachi prepares for York Hall Clash

Post by Mr Boogaloo »

at the London Shootfighters MMA gym...

I had the chance to watch him work the pads in preparation for his fight with Martin Thompson (14-1). Fackinell, he can hit and has awesome cardio. That said, good luck to both fighters on 1 Feb.

(James Haskell - of Six Nations squad fame was also there working on his wrestling)
The London Shootfighters have long been synonymous with some of the biggest names in UK MMA. Under the watchful eye of head instructors, Alexis Demetriades and Paul Ivens, fighters such as Lee Murray, James Zikic, Mustapha al Turk and a host of up-and-comers have taken their game to a new level at the West London gym.

Traditionally known for its excellent facilities, wrestling and hard sparring, the gym has attracted top flight competitors from all over the globe – fighters who soon learn that, whilst everything they expected can be found, there is a great deal more to the gym than this out-dated perception.

YEM impressed me when I saw him; if he was "looked after", he could go places.
