My initial dissapointment has been replaced by "it could be worse" . He cant do as badly as Rodent & Souness. Although this is without doubt a short term fix. Coleman or Shearer as his number 2, apparently.
He's got the infustructure he likes going forwards in Milner N'zogbia, Duff, Owen and a big man (Viduka or Andy Carroll coming through). Time will tell, although I too feel King Kev will be gone within 3 years.

Would be an excellent signing for us. Although we have a steady flow of forwards, Gabby A is more attacking midfield, likewise with Ashley Young. Luke Moore, for some reason, has gone off the boil and Carew needs someone like Defoe to play off.
Hopefully we can get him before the end of the month.
