Calzaghe moves up to light-heavy after beating that Armenian nobody on February 21. Original target was WBO champ Gonzalez, but now Erdei has thrown a severe spanner in the works. Can you see Calzaghe going over there to fight him? I can't. Erdei looks bloody useful. So what now for Calzaghe? My crystal bell says WBU. Guess who their champ is at light-heavy. Yes, Matthew "Stink the Joint Out" Barney.

Bloody hell I hope not, you'd think Joe would have too much pride to go for a low rent WBU strap.
Hopefully he'll force Warren to make the fight, the WBO will likely give full backing if he says he wants the fight.

It'll take some doing to lure Erdei out of Germany. I hope Joe has to travel in truth. It's about time he showed his mettle away from home.

Lets not forget Dariuz Michaelswecki, he'll certainly be in the mix now.

If this does happen to be the route, and I don't think it will, I hope Calzaghe vs Barney would be a Super Middle for the WBO belt - I'd rather see a Calzaghe keep that option as opposed to the WBU.

Can't see Edrei fighting away from home, but he's certainly looks like a worthy fighter for Joe - and you never know, his comprehesive victory over Gonzales might indicate that he doesn't need the comfort of Germany to beat credible challengers.

It's certainly heartening to know that there are some real champions in Germany who don't require the aid of the judges or referee.

I didn't get to see that fight, but from what everyone is saying he did a good job on Gonzalez.

I think though that we may see yet another German champion who doesn't let their skills leave the country.

Warren has absolutely no class at all, he uses his little column in the News Of The World to belittle other promoters and get in sly digs at rival camps. If he is not bitching about the BBC then he has the cheek to mock Barry Hearn's WBC matchmaking involving Brodie-Chi, this from the WBU and WBO's favourite promoter! Today he got in a dig on Hennessy, saying he needs to master the art of purse bids and hoping he bids in the right currency this time. Chris Eubank is right, allegedly is a tosser
