...for Freeview viewers anyway. The line up seems a good night of Boxing but Skelton-Chagaev is on Setanta 2 which is only available for SKY customers and then the Trinidad-Jones Jnr fight starts at 3am which is precisely the time Setanta cuts off air by law of their airing times!

Nope. Same price for one channel. What's a real kick in the tets is that I can't have SKY or Virgin.TerribleTerry wrote:UFC card is on the same time as the boxing on normal SetantaEmerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:Does that mean we get the UFC card on FV instead?
UFC Setanta Sport 1 8pm
Boxing Setanta Sport 2 8pm
Thanks God for Sky+!![]()
Do you get both Setanta channels on freeview?
FreeView tend to show channel 1 over channel 2, so looks like I'll have to record the repeat shows during the week.
Feck.

That is hardsh - you shouldnt have to pay the same fee for a restricted/partial service.Emerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:Nope. Same price for one channel. Whilst they do repeat their boxing shows it is on a main event only, 1 hr show basis. Harsh for FV viewers IMO.

Whoever runs the show at Setanta on Freeview, well, I think they are very disorganised & highly incompetent.
For Setanta advertise the likes of Jones-Trinidad, but in the end, the result is that if you are a subscriber to Setanta on Freeview, you will not be able to watch any boxing on that Channel after 3AM.
For the company to still advertise such events after which commence from 3AM onwards, is fcuking ridiculous, not to mention extremely misleading & misinforming to Freeview customers.
I have got the right arse-ache now I have just realised that us Freeview customers may not get to see the live showing of Pavlik-Taylor 2 & we may not even get to see the whole bout of Haye-Maccarinelli.
Setanta on Freeview need to fix up & pronto. They need to pay whatever the license fee's are to broadcast beyond 3AM.
Who's up for doing some sort of petition or letter to Setanta on Freeview? I for one would suggest Setant stop advertising/claiming they are showing events which start at 3AM or thereafter.
Might not be a good thing after all having Haye-Maccarinelli on Setanta, after all?
Please, please, BBC, wake up & smell the coffee. Boxing would be good on the BBC.

I'd call it more than annoying, I'd call it a rip off!... the trouble is that while people continue paying like sheep then these channels will continue to happily take the money and provide their shoddy services!. And this is just the begining, in about 5 or 10 years time we'll be having to pay individually for every fight show like they do in America....Rocky Balboa wrote:Whoever runs the show at Setanta on Freeview, well, I think they are very disorganised & highly incompetent.

I thought it was 23.00 UK time?Mario wrote:Does anyone know what time the Skelton fight will actually be on yet? Thanks, i'd read that somewhere else too but in Setanta's tv listings, the Skelton fight is on live from 8 till 11 on Setanta 2 so im not quite sure how they're gonna manage that one!Emerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:I thought it was 23.00 UK time?Mario wrote:Does anyone know what time the Skelton fight will actually be on yet? Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Can someone clarify for me...do you still have to pay 9.99 a month to watch Setanta via 'free'view? If so, no wonder people are pissed off.
Yes you do Ian,
I upgraded my digibox to one that had a card(cost £50) inorder to watch the Haye vs Mormeck fight in November. Watch it no problem then I stayed up for the Cotto fight on the same night and at 3am all I got was an advert telling me how I could subscribe.
Now having seen Setantas fantastic schedule - I am fuming cos I'm not going to see any of the American fights and it looks like not even the Skelton clash.
Still they keep advertising these fights and not a mention of it only being available to some viewers.
Setanta have made alot of money off the back of boxing fights that new subscribers then learn that they can't actually watch.
I would guess about 10pm as Setanta are televising 8-11.
Can't wait for Saturday, going to watch UFC then Skelton v Chagaev is repeated straight after than on Setanta 1 and then Jones v Tito after although I might record that last bit and watch on Sunday not sure it warrants staying up until 5am to watch.
