I believe if Rees fought Hatton the way he won the WBA belt, i.e in and out , hi work rate, he could out point Hatton.

Jeez I thought football fans were fickle. Hatton gets beat by the P4P no1 in the World and now he isn't even good enough to beat Rees (no disrespect). M'Baye put up one of the most tame and disinterested performances I have ever seen from a champion defending his title.

This makes sense. People are going overboard on Hatton (quite rightly too) over his intransigence to even consider a Witter fight - it's the only meaningful fight for him at LWW (where he should stay). But he has just got a beatdown from an exceptional fighter and he has to find his way back. I wouldn't expect Witter as his next fight, but I would expect it after a comeback fight or two - presuming they went as expected.

Its not as good as "I'm not going to fight Junior, because I don't want to give him a payday"

I can kind of see why they might want to ease Hatton back now, but then Hatton probably wasted the best years of his career fighting easy fights. Does he really have that long left?

I'm a big Hatton fan but he can't mess about with warm up fights if he's going to balloon three and four stone between fights, it'll just limit his shelf life and he will only have two or three more left.

I think the Hatton team are silly to dismiss Rees, it's the only real warm up fight he could take with any justification; whatever the terms he should think longer term and take Rees WBA title and talk about 'unifying 140'. As it is he faces potential defeat or simply looking like he's dodging Witter cause he's worried about that fight. I still think Hatton beats Witter, but they need to move fast with some announcement.

What if those terms included options?

Yeah I see where you're coming from, but even coming off the defeat the Hatton camp should be able to bargain out any option or condition they don't want. He took $20m, or the best part of for the last fight didn't he? I'd sacrifice a small slice of purse to negotiate the right terms with Rees to get the career back on track. I'd be amazed if they couldn't make the Rees fight happen if they wanted it.

I can't see FW letting the Hatton-Rees fight go ahead without further options on Hattons career, which I don't see happening.

The fact is the Jnr Witter fight is a no-brainer NOW.....face 2 face i would stomp on anybodys head who said to me Vicky should be allowed to fight another couple of BUMS before Witter or he shouldn't give Witter a payday ect..

The Jnr Witter fight would be pi$$ easy for team Hatton to make...unlike a fight with that Fwank Warren BUM Gavin Rees.

Jnr Witter has done his part to make the fight happen, undefeated in his last 20+ fights has been British, European and now WBC World Champ......wot the fook more do you want Witter to do before he gets the fight???

Years ago i predicted the way things would play out with Hatton getting beat and Witter holding a World title....i never thought Vicky would STILL be allowed to get away with ducking Witter when this happend though.........this is why a hate the Vicky Hatton fans with a passion.

Bottom line is Hatton doesn't need any more money.....Vicky is a fooking PU$$Y for not taking on Witter next.....and i would call him a pu$$Y to his face for not fighting Witter.....any f^gz on here that know Hatton & want to get me calling Vicky a pu$$Y for not fighting Witter on u tube STEP THE FOOK UP......Jamie Moore???

I'm sure he will be devastated.

You give him a woman's name, talk about him non-stop and stalk his every move. Come on. You're an arse bandit with a thing for him.
PBF gave Hatton the Vicky name, i am only concerned with Vicky fighting Witter.......and u Sir are a c^nt.
