The Hudkins - Holley fight as being in London, Ontario comes from Hudkins record in the 1971 Ring Record Book.

The Canzoneri - Foley fight in Montreal is in Canzoneri's record in the 1981 RRB and I assume most of the others.

I can help a little. The 1929 World Almanac lists the results of important fights of 1928 as they appear in "public print". It gives the Hudkins fight as being in Lincoln, Nebraska so I suppose we accept this as being correct. It does however give Holley as being Halley while the RRB gives him as Hollay. Looking at the other results it appears to be Holley. It gives the Canzoneri fight on 13 June in Montreal as being against V. Foley. My comment would be that I would like to know more about the newspaper source. If it is just an announcement of the upcoming card then it is not uncommon for one fighter to pull out because of illness / injury and another be substituted. If it is an eyewitness report of the fight then Chabot would appear to be correct but it is strange that both the RRB and the World Almanac would get it wrong as both would be using contemporary newspapers. I will check the New York Times this week and see if these fights are mentioned.

Just in case it's not clear what I am refering to - two queries, namely
1) Whether the Ace Hudkins - Buck Holley fight that I entered as London, Ontario, was in fact in Lincoln, Nebraska.
2) Did Tony Canzoneri fight George Chabot in Montreal on June 13 and not Vic Foley I entered.
Ric queried the first and an anonymous reader the second, quoting a newspaper report.
Hope it's clear now.

As usual, thanks for the great work following up on those questions, Colin.
