Are you serious, Tatevoysan is the guy who got ripped off by Montello and Tillerman when he fought Lansana Diallo.....

I thought Sendra was spanish?

Spanish then whatever, yes it's true.

I've just read a piece by alleged Hennessy spin doctor 'GAV' on a lesser quality site than this.

Well isn't Tatevoysan the guy we were all praising Farnell for taking on as a WBU title defence? I know the fight didn't happen in the end. Without checking boxrec all I know is this guy practically ended the career of Armand Krajnc.

This replacement is probably an improvment.

Now we are talking, I haven't seen this guy, but his record looks good. I do have a concern about the late notice, how prepared is his opponent and also I see Karmazin on his record, so I do wonder if he's a small Middle - I aint seen him, so that is just a guess.

Also, does anybody know / care to guess what is the situation with this new fight. Will this now be considered Howard's WBC #1 contendor match up, or just a European title defence.

Can we no longer say that Eastman's best opponent was a faded McCraken.

To be fair he's fought some good lads - including Karmazin - last time out he got a points win over Tsarenko (so did Gary Lockett and Wayne Elcock though),

What a fornicating joke. A WBC number one wasting his time on Anthony Farnell-type opponents.

I do wonder however, whether any of the other fighters really want to face him. There aren't really a lot of people for Eastman to fight either. Joppy's gone, Cherifi's been done, Jermain Taylor is unlikely to risk it just yet. I would go for Robert Allen, Aaron Mitchell, or Evans Ashira.

Trouble is, these are mere tune ups, as he is already #1 contender. In a year's time, I wouldn't be surprised to see Taylor call out Eastman though, and by then, he might just be ready to take him, depends on how he does this year.

Eastman's too laid back, he should do or say something controversial to raise his profile and make people chase him as apose to the contary.

I'm not saying he should go as far as raping a beauty pagent contender, but a few choice words directed at potential opponents, attending their fights and interupting the post fight interview etc surely wouldn't do him any harm.

For instance: Bernard I've heard a rumour that Howard Eastman said he will beat you like a drum and then rape your bum as soon as he's finished he'll start on your mum, he'll make her drink his c.............you get the picture.

Eastman is really in an unfortunate situation. He's too good for just about every other middleweight contender out there (thanks to a pretty piss weak division) but would stand virtually no chance against the champion Bernard Hopkins. And it's not as though it would even be a mega payday against the Excecutioner either.

The WBO title or a step up to supermiddle are just about the only options out there if Eastman wants to see out his last couple of years or so earning some nice money.

It's just not Eastman's style. I don't think Bernard is going to give him a fight unless there is HUGE money on the table.

He is demanding Tarver make 168 to take him on, which he knows Tarver cannot do, and that would be a big fight, Hopkins won't take on anyone unless their profile is massive, and Eastman's profile isn't big enough.

Curb your enthusiasm as Howard takes on yet another Russian lightmiddle weight.
A fight that will do exactly nothing towards getting him a title shot, that will just keep him ticking over. Which he's been doing for what seems like his whole career....

At least the guy holds a win over "James Toney" I suppose.

Yeah Tavetsoyan is 20th on Boxrec's rankings but agreed it is a pretty poor division. He stopped Nikolay Talalakin in 2 back in 2000, Anthony Farnell stopped him in 10 in 2003, also he won an eight rounder over Vage Kocharyan in 2001, Kocharyan has shared the ring with Brian Magee, Glenn Catley and last time out Carl Froch. He is usually a sturdy trial horse who doesn't get stopped although interestingly he took Calzaghe's next foe Mger Mkrtchian to a split decision in 2001! But i digress....Eastman really should fight Evans Ashira soon i think, Ashira is unbeaten and i believe signed up to Don King due to the fact King has taken him to Florida for sparring so a win over him could raise Howard's profile a little more than beating people like this Russian. If not he should look for Robert Allen, Aaron Mitchell or even Felix Sturm, his career is in danger of stagnating unless he finds a decent test soon.

He can't possibly be that bad, Farnell is the crappiest belt wearer I've ever seen (including wino's with a length of rope or a main's cable)

This is a much more interesting fight. Tatevosyan took a fight with former WBO middleweight champion Armand Krajnc on just a few days notice, and he actually knocked the guy out. Tatevosyan is ten times better than Sendra.

The same old trick. An opponent mysteriously falls out and in comes a late sub who'll perform for a few rounds, then, inevitably, run out of gas. Mick Currency thinks we can't see through this, but he's wrong. This main event is putred.

I was partly joking, but you clearly got the wink form the 'winker' in advance of him announcing it and had time to pen a decent little write up informing us how proficient the Russian is and how good a test it will be for Howard.

GAV,
Do you think Howard will force the Russian into taking a ten count?

Nothing wrong with getting prior information a few days early is there?

Howard will outbox him but i don't see him stopping the guy.

There is when it only ever concerns one faction. A British boxing forum means just that. You and Elliot run along back to your master.

He looks ok to me.......he took out Krajnc who had gone 12 with Harry Simon in the fight before so HE might have a few things to think about at the end of the month

Well am i to blame because i got the information concerning a Hennessy fighter? Is it my fault that Spud has ties at hennessy?

How many of my articles have involved Hennessy fighters?

As for the dig at Myself and Elliot, where has this come from? From all my correspondance with you in the past there has never been any animosity and you have given me good advice when i asked you questions. To suddenly adopt this attitude just because i am friends with someone you dislike and mainly post on ESB is a bit strong is it not?

At the end of the day it's only a boxing forum, it's not WWIII and all this rivalry stuff is the biggest load of $hite i have ever seen. How old are we all? So why are we having petty slanging matches over boxing forums?
