That's sad to hear. Mittee I remember being as a bit of an eccentric even when he was fighting, like an early version of Chris Eubank.
He had that long running grudge with Honeyghan, which Loyd eventualy settled in the ring. Good fighter in his time.
Shame he can't land one on that complete twat Sheehan, no one would blame him.

Agreed. A boxer would need to make around 2 million to live of a pension startde on 5% over 30 years.
If a boxer was lucky enough to earn 100K+, he should buy a house outright and learn a trade.
Also, I think promoters wold be much less likely to work with the 'lesser' talented fighters if they would prove a financial burden in years to come.
