Fred Jackson: Light-heavyweight 1951-1958

Post by Angel5000 »

Does anyone have any information, articles, pictures, videos, anything at all about Fred Jackson? Or know of anyone who might?

He was a light-heavyweight of Custom House with a career from 1951 - 1958. He fought against George Walker on 26th October 1953, and after his boxing career owned many pubs including the Lord Raglan in Plaistow and the Flying Horse in Ipswich. More information can be found about him here: http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hu ... &cat=boxer

I am a very close relative of his and am trying to find as much information about him as possible, with the notion of making a documentary about his career. Please, please if you have any information, it would be very much appreciated!

Thanks.

Hi Alex

I came across your post on a google search and had to respond. I can see the post is old so you may not receive this message but I hope you are well and if you made the film of your dad (my grandad) I would love to see it.

Lots of love
