Joe Frater Shows

Post by bridportboxer »

Hi, just wondering if anybody knows what Joe Fraters shows are like? I want to start watching a little more 'small hall boxing' and his website is the easiest to find on the net.
I am going to the Sanigar show in Plymouth in Feb aswell, which will hopefully have a couple of good fights.

I think the Frater family are well know in Cleethorpes- his son Wayne is a mechanic- there was a big picture of him with his advert "Wayne Fraters Garage." Basically a well know local family. I know because my family is from there too.

Joe Frater has been hosting boxing in that area for decades, and as such as a good local following.

frater's shows are the usual stuff. sometimes he has decent prospects on that are worth watching.

be careful though, don'lt leave your car too near the venue or you may get your tyres slashed ..... unless the dalton's have their offer of security taken up of course :TU:

Wasn't Joe Frater the first black promoter to host a British title fight - Carl Thompson vs Steve Lewsam back in 1992 (I think... the brain is going mushy in old age!)
