almost every Boxer Is Startled after being Knocked Down.

I thought Khan did pretty well considering he won in the next round..
Come on fella. We all know there are different 'grades' of knockdowns, from 'flash' knockdowns to a clean KO. It's why commentators always talk about whether a fighter has 'his legs back', 'clear eyes' etc. Hamed's a good example, as while he was put down, he was always clear-eyed and steady as most of the KD's were balance-related.
By contrast, Khan's was clearly a heavy knockdown that he took a while to recover from.

very worrying knockdown.

and fight.

don't forget many people saw it as a close fight up until that point.

i thought khan was pinching most of the rds and lost a few.

but some on here had it level or even limond in front. :o

Terry, it's a lovely soundbite, but we both know that doesn't tell the whole story. If Khan has a genuine physical weakness in that department a la Errol Christie or Paul Ryan, for example, his future is in jeopardy.
Now for the record, I was one of those who posted in the wake of the Limond fight saying it was far too early to write him off, pointing to examples like De La Hoya, Trinidad and Benn.
However, it is most definitely HOW you go down - if you down like Graham against Jackson, to use the most extreme example, you simply ain't getting up.

I'm rewatching the Willie Limond fight, because I've only seen it once (which was when it happened), and I want to analyse what happened and see if Amir Khan really does have a dodgy chin.

At the end of the 2nd round, Limond got Khan with a good right hand. It rocked Khan's head back but he was unhurt.

With less than a minute left in the 4th round, Limond hurt Khan with another right hand. Khan wanted to hold on but his legs seemed steady.

All around the knock down (round 6), Khan is hit with LOTS of shots. It's no wonder he took a full minute to recover, because he was being hit during that minute. His defense was awful.

IMO, Khan just needs to improve his defense (which, from his last fights, appears to be happening). His chin doesn't seem too bad to me. He was hit a lot, and Limond's power seems to be underestimated.

Are you related to Amir or something observer, you seem to love the guy. If Amir defended himself as much as you defend him, he'd of never been down in his career!
no, im not related to him, and lmao at the last part :P

All im saying is, Boxers get KTFO all the time in the Ring.

But it's not as if Khan was Dominating and one surprise punch took him out and lost.

the reason he got Knocked Down was because he got too comfortable, and did everything wrong. His footwork was all over the Place, don't know where is Hands where, and took a good few clean hits too the Face.

Sure, Limond is not a Big hitter, but end of the day he is a Boxer, and good few clean hits to the face from a Boxer is enough to Get anyone startled.

Point is, it looks as if he is Learned from what he did considering he showed Huge improvement in the next two Fights.

I guess the only way we know is when he takes a good few hits to the face next time and see how he responds.

why do people make out that getting KO'd is a disaster?
some of the greatest fighters of all time suffered brutal KO's yet they came back to win titles.
people need to remember khan is a young PROSPECT meaning he is nowhere near the finished article he is still learning and getting put on your ass by a light puncher will make you work on improving your defence wouldn't it.
