How come Froch has never fought for the Euro title?

I mean Froch has been up there in the ratings for a few years now - it strikes me as odd that he's never fought for the Euro title. If he beats Inkin and can't secure a world title shot straight away he should fight Sanavia for the European - a nice title to have on your CV plus looks like Sanavania struggled with the very limited Haussler last time out.

The plan is still to fight for the EBU belt sometime in the first half of this year, probably in June or July. Of course, that depends on the result against Denis Inkin in April.

Froch would stop Sanavia before the end of the sixth. If light-hitting Markus Beyer can knock out Sanavia, albeit with a peach of a punch, then Carl would flatten him.

I think politics was constantly getting in the way though now he's got an eliminator for the WBC and is manditory for the european so I think he may try to hoover the title up depending on what Calzaghe does in terms of holding onto his titles.

Froch did stop Tatevosyan who had beaten then Euro champ (I believe) Gogiya so it may not have mattered too much.

It would have been nice for him to have won it thouhg there is something special about having worked your way up through all the relivent titles it shows you didn't get a lucky shot and win with a lucky shot!
