Fracas at the Olympic village in 1992

I always remember reading it at the time and always wanted to know.

The basics were some of our esteemed GB boxing squad at the Barcelona olympics in 1992 got into a punch up with the Iraqi wrestling team - regarding the war that was fought the year before hazarding a guess. :lol:

Remembering from the top of my head Paul Lawson, Peter Richardson, Paul Ingle and I think Chris Bessey (I could be wrong though on this one and if so, apologies :TU: ) were amongst our chaps in the melee.

I don't know about anyone here - would you want to get involved in a scrap with a olympic standard wrestler - even if you had the special powers of being an ABA champ?

Does anyone know how it all kicked off and what was the upshot of it all?

Secondly - Who won the fight? :lol:

Which fight the first Gulf war or the fracas at the olympic village. :lol: :lol:

In fairness in my experiance group brawls hardly ever have a real actual winner cos no one does enough damage to one person without having to look out for there friends taking a pasting somewhere else.
