Anyone seen the new eubank advert

Yeah McDonalds aint stupid, they are always looking for a trick or two and using Eubank as a cleanliness advertiser will reassure the gullible that these places are clean.
On another note has anyone read the Eubank autobiography? I am nearly finished and it is damn good. Ignore the £20 plus cost in "Bookshops" and online as ASDA are selling it at a cut price £9.97.

Eubank's auto biography is a cracking read and avoids decending into pseudo-intellectual philosophising for the most part, which is something that I feared it might.
Gives a good perspective on many of his fights, althouh it is far from detailed in most accounts and sorter then I had hoped.
Eubank shouldn't be advertising that slop. The only time I ever contemplate McDonald's is when badly hungover, and even then I think twice...

I've lost all post boxing respect I ever had for Eubank, for a sportsman to advertise that shite is ridiculous. Money is all well and good but you should have principles that are set at a higher place than advertising that American bollocks.
Kids, or anyone else for that matter, shouldn't be eating that muck, plus, equally importantly, people should buy British.
(Not that they'd want to) But if McDonalds, or any of their equally bad competitors, offered me a million pounds to advertise their products I'd refuse, I know you'll think I'm talking twaddle but on my life and my families life I wouldn't.

You have got principles FlawedGenius, that is to be respected.
American fast food is a sickening blight on the British landscape. It is making youngsters fat and I beleive that a high tax should be placed on such food items to make them prohibitavely expensive.
Eubank should know better, according to his book he doesn't need the money. (However, some of his outlandish displays of wealth make me think that he soon will...)

it does make me cringe when high profile people advertise that shit...
Justin Timberlake was another. the little boy is loaded yet still sold out by promoting McDonalds. The stuff is garbage, nothing i hate seeing more than the council estate families going to McDonalds for their dinner.... cook something healthy for your kids for gods sake...

These celebrity types need to take a step back and ask themselves a few hard questions. There's nothing wrong with looking after number one, that's human instinct, but to advertise some of the stuff they do is appalling.
Smiley Carol Smilie is the worst with 'Bonus cash builder plus', that is the biggest load of bollocks out there. They even say on the advert ''You may well get less back than you pay in.'' Why do people go for it then?
I've got a deal for you: Everyone of you few hundred members of this site send me £100, I'll drip feed you 80 quid of it back over the next few years, sorry about the other £20 - and the interest - that's gone, I invested it - in a speed boat.
There are some very gullible and unintelligent people out there, our great sportsmen and TV personalities shouldn't exploit them (Off topic a bit, sorry).

Euabank is a bit of a sell-out, I reckon he must he a bit hard up, or maybe he's just a greedy bastard. Let's face it, most boxers are greedy for money, that's what the sport is about, earning money.
Eubank comes across as being a fairly principled bloke but I guess his principles are overridden by his love on money and vanity.
It's like George Foreman, ever heard the phrase in the bible 'A love of money is the root of all evil' well George sure likes cash, he's got a whole fleet of luxury cars, a massive pad, and 200 million in the bank.
all that stuff about how he got back into fighting to help repair the local youth centre, I am not convinced somehow.

I just started reading Eubank's book today and it is very good. The man is very honest and I can't help but like him.TerribleTerry wrote:Eubank's auto biography is a cracking read and avoids decending into pseudo-intellectual philosophising for the most part, which is something that I feared it might.

Haven't seen the Mcshite advert but he obviously hasn't read the book FAST FOOD NATION.
One look at this and you wont set foot in the place again. According to the UK government, fast food burgers contain "an acceptable level of feces.."!!!! Wonderful......

I stopped eating McDonald's and burger king about 6 month's ago, and then made the mistake of eating the inaptly named 'big tasty', which should more appropriately have been called the 'big jobbie' I proceeded to belch continuously for about 3 hours after eating it, and the smell was so bad that the people in the car with me, opened all the windows even though it was freezing cold on the long drive to sussex. I felt both ashamed and disconcerted at the proceedings.
Truly it is utter crap.

Its actually good for boxing if a major firm like Mcdonalds use a ex-boxer to promote their goods, even though those goods are fornicating awful!
What with Henry Cooper promoting the NHS FLU JAB and Lennox Lewis PROMOTING Joining the police, it seems Boxer's still are part of the Public's Conciousness!

I've read that Fast Food Nation and it didn't do a whole lot to put me off - shock horror they actually use flavouring to make the food taste like it does, whatever next!!
Yeah but shit doesn't exactly come under the flavouring category does it? I guess you could always ask for "a cheeseburger with no shit please."
Reminds me of that New York Deli story recently - the hidden cameras in the kitchen filmed a guy as he prepaired the food, and the fat fornicate was...... jizzing in the mayonaise!!
The CNN story header had me in stitches: "HOLD THE MAYO!"
If you hate McDonalds, you'll probably love this

Okay MW but how many people here could truthfully say that a Maccy D has EVER made them ill? In 25 years it's never happened to me, while on at least a half dozen occasions I've suffered after visiting supposed quality Chinese takeaways/restaurants.MightyWarrior wrote:Yeah but shit doesn't exactly come under the flavouring category does it? There might be zero nutritional value in a Big Mac but devouring one every now & then aint going to hurt you in the slightest.
