WBC President Jose Sulamain said today that on February 1st, Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko will be given a 30 day period of free negotiations to come to terms for their eagerly anticipated rematch.
If unable to reach an agreement within the 30 days, a purse bid will be held 15 days later. If Lennox Lewis doesn't comply, he will be stripped of his title.

As I've said before, the 2 reasons why Tyson hasn't fought for nearly a year are :
1) Declaring himself Bankrupt, it's taken time to get his finaces into account, remember they have to go back years. Tyson just couldn't have fought whilst his assets were FROZEN
2) His arrest for the bogus assault of 2 Hispanic thugs which will be thrown out of court in the next few days and Tyson will be free to Box in APRIL. Remember, he had to clear this up in order to get his LICENSE BACK, I mean he can't fight in Memphis for the rest of his life, especially after the fiasco of Clifford Ettiene! It just wouldn't make financial sense!

I think the differnece from before to now is that Mike's life isn't as CRAZY as it once was in terms of the big Groupies around him that took away his FOCUS for his fights!
For the LEWIS fight, Tyson barely trained for about 2 weeks because all his CREW told him all he had to do was hit Lewis on the chin and He'd knock out Lewis Cold. This made Tyson become lazy and he paid for it in the Lewis fight.
A FIGHTER IS ONLY AS GOOD AS HIS TRAINING!
The difference now is that Tyson has people who won't accept any BS from him and know that you have to put in 100% into training every single fight!
AGE ISN'T A PROBLEM WITH TYSON. His body is still fresh from the years out of boxing PLUS guys like Corrie sanders and Lewis are both 38 and have shown they can beat the best in the world!

Adding to the strangeness, DA Charles Hynes is also prosecuting Tyson's "victims" - for harassing and menacing Tyson.
As Swindell tells it, Tyson's drunken assailants pestered the champ for an autograph as he waited for a car outside the Brooklyn Marriott with his business partner early on June 18. When Tyson refused, the men taunted - "You've got fists, we've got guns."
Swindell told his story to investigator Michael Charles, a former NYPD detective working with Tyson's defense lawyer, Mel Sachs. Reached at home, Swindell told me he had nothing to add, and he's prepared to testify. He's not getting paid.
