Yes, I just noticed that. The BBC bit just caught my eye as I was checking to see whether Liverpool had signed Kaka and Messi yet......

Looking at Arthur vs Foster Guzman is on a whole different level and wins this one comfortably.

As has already been mentioned it remains to be seen whether Guzman will even bother to turn up and defend the title. If he does though there is only going to be one winner. Arthur doesn't have anything at all in his arsenal that will trouble Guzman. The only thing that even gives him a chance of being able to compete in the fight is Guzman's tendency to get lazy and coast to victory.

Interesting matchup, hope it comes off. Would rather see our (British) fighters up against the best than squaring up against opposition brought in to lose.

Of course Guzman is an overwhelming favourite, he looks mint on his day but if Arthur was to have any chance it's with home advantage etc. I'll look forward to it.

I saw him fight Soto in Atlantic City, his lateral movement is frightening. Floyd has really improved him.

Assuming they both sign and the fight is on....... i expect, like mostly everyone does, that Arthur will loose big. Guzman is a class operator and will no doubt be laying the punishment on Arthur, it could get ugly in there. I'm just hoping that Arthur can have his moments and make it someway interesting, do himself proud and hopefully get another title shot against a not so formidable oponent further down the line.

We are constantly witnessing our top fighters dodging the 'real' danger men in their divisions. If Arthur signs for this one (which i'm sure he will) then he should be applauded for it

Quite right Ali.

Very few will have any expectation of Arthur in this fight. Good on him for showing an inclination and willingness to fight the best out there. This is by far preferable than seeing him get the title by default in a very strong division.

Good luck to AA -I fear he may need it.

Is it certain if this fight does happen it will be in Scotland? Alex Arthur doesn't sell many tickets even in Edinburgh. I wonder if allegedly will stage this in Cardiff as a double header with Gavin Rees defending against Andreas Kotelnik.

$280k split 70/30(?) might not be enough.

If it happens - Guzmans tears him to bits in 3.

Think it's more likely to be a prolonged beating, Guzman hasn't had an early stoppage in a long time now.

Very true although Edinburgh isn't as different from Manchester as it is from the Dom Rep.
