Carl Johanneson takes on former IBF super-flyweight champion Harold Grey in an eight-rounder next Friday at the legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia.
Grey, 32, fills in for Johanneson's original opponent, Oronde Dawley, of Philadelphia, who was detained on a parole violation.
A pro since 1990, Grey is 25-5 (17), though his form has been mixed of late, and he's been very inactive. He won the IBF title in 1994 from Julio Borboa and defended it three times before losing to Carlos Salazar in Argentina. He regained the title from Salazar in 1996, then lost it again, this time to Danny Romero.
Johanneson, 14-1 (7), is originally from Leeds.
