According to his 1978 biography,
Joe Louis's favorite records(at least in 1936)

he also liked"Posin".
His favorite Duke Ellington recordings were,"Caravan" and"Ive Got to be a Rug Cutter".

...and i take every opportunity i get to state that night train is a direct steal from duke ellington's "happy go lucky local." buddy morrow just took it and renamed when he recorded it, and that's what it has become better known as.

....the joe louis favorite was "s'posin"....a "contraction" of the word "supposing"...as in "s'posin i should fall in love with you.....s'posin yu could learn to love me to..." it's a near tragedy that you can't hear me sing it.
