Former 2-time WBC Light Welterweight (Now we call Super Lightweight) king, Saensak Muangsurin, who won world title with the fewest fights in the planet, needs urgent repair his house. Because his old tenement house roof in Bangkok was collapsed after heavy raining in 3-4 days ago. He needs 30,000 Baht (~962 USD) to fixed it, but he does not have enough money.

His total income in everymonth are 9,000 Baht (~289 USD) from WBC, 7,000 Baht (~225 USD) from the Sport Authority of Thailand and little from rental fee of ground floor of his tenement house . But in last 3 months, he did not received any subsidy from WBC. Now WBC vice president, Police General Kovit Bhakdibhumi, carries out the responsibilities to fixed his problem also.

Saensak Muangsurin or Mr. Boonsong Mansri in his real life became to boxing world champion in his third professional bout by TKO8 won over Perico Fernandez at Indoor Stadium Hua Mark in Bangkok on July 15, 1975. This is a world record for taking the shortest time to win the world title. Meaning of his alias in Thai words is "The Death Puncher in Pink Gloves".

Save the cash and maybe Asterix can go and do it himself! Or failing that why doesn't he wait until morning and phone the council offices?

Sounds like an ex boxer is in need of some financial help, having been let down on payments from the WBC.

However, it seems some information is missing. Was the guy injured in a bout? Why does he get a regular income from the WBC ? Does he not work?

It's best to direct any questions to the guys in the main topic -> http://www.boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=77347

I was merely letting the people who visit this forum, but don't visit the current scene, know about Saensak Muangsurin's troubles.

Muangsurin was an animal of a world champion. He beat some bad, bad boys, and carried on fighting (Hearns and co.) when he couldn't see a bloody thing.
