The Klitschko brothers have taken legal action to end their contract with boxing promoter Klaus-Peter Kohl.
The two Ukrainian heavyweights, Vitali and Wladimir, have filed papers in a Hamburg court in an attempt to have their contract with Kohl and Universum Promotions dissolved.
The two brothers, huge draws in the Ukraine and Germany, broke into the United States market last year after a bloody slugfest between Vitali and Lennox Lewis in a WBC title bout. Since then, Vitali has established himself as a leading contender to replace the 38-year-old Lewis - expected to retire soon.
Younger brother Wladimir is also highly ranked.
The two brothers plan to sign with an American promoter.
