hoppa without an opponent

Post by dave896 »

John Hopoate is scheduled to fight for the NSW belt on the mundine undercard, but is yet to find an opponent. Who do you guys reckon they should put him in the ring with?

The ANBF site still has Kirby as NSW champ. Are you sure it was not just an ordinary 8 rounder?

As for Vea, I doubt that he would relinquish his OPBF Cruiserweight title to fight for a State title.

He deserves one.... He was off his game in his last fight. But he's having some time off at the moment to figure out what he wants to do. I hope we see a New improved Pat Kennedy in a few months or so...

Sorry if this is not the case, but i was only going on the info i had read.

In any case it seems that hop is still without an opponent

Why doesnt Mark De Mori take this fight?
Simply 'cos team Hoppa are offering shit money to opponents
No doubt they'll find a desperate Kiwi or Fijian during the week, who will naturally check the canvas on sight of a punch :P

Would De Mori even be eligible for the NSW Title?

De Mori should step up to the plate and out box that Gorilla-Bisket hoppa.

I do belive that hoppa will be fighting a mail-order, Its just ashame that
the Australian Heavyweight Divison is superstition.

De Mori is a Western Australian, so if it is a NSW title fight he would be ineligible. De Mori has fought at least one ten rounder and one eight rounder. State title fights are only eight rounders.

I have probably mentioned this before, but when someone asked Ray Foreman who George was going to fight next Ray said "We are negotiating with Elvis. We think he has been dead long enough."

What has happened to Hoppa now?

And also what happened to Solo's opponent?
Not 100% but was it Joey Wilson?

Would anybody be surprised if Hopfrog gets chucked in against Solo? It would be a more even fight than the T-bone steak they were going to feed to Solo.

The great Hoppa won't get into the ring with Solomon as they made a Polynesian pact in the past to never do so.

Les Mason will not be a fixture for either, as Les has thrown in the towel and given the game away after suffering a few bad effects from his last loss. Being a brickie is a bit safer.
