On reflection I think Bunce handled it well. I mean, what are you doing to do? I would probably have shat myself and then went to Starbucks for chocolate, Marks & Sparks for socks and would have thrown in some Millionaire Shortbread as a goodwill gesture.

To paraphrase Marvin Hagler, it's hard to go running at 5 in the morning, when you've got a nice hot chocolate with marshmallow and cashmere socks on.

I'd have squeezed his cheeks together and shouted "Oranges!" whilst running in slow motion. Reckon that would disorientate him, leaving me to escape with his Hiati track top.

Mwaaah!

I can see a riot
He tried to intimidate Winky last time, so expect more of the same.
No way can Hopkins intimidate Calzaghe. Joe will just have that big shit eating grin on his face. Calzaghe is simply too arrogant to be intimidated.

I'm not knocking Joe, he has the towering self belief needed to be a champion, and I think he is utterly convinced he has the beating of Hopkins.

Bunce should have given him a slap, told him to "Leave it!" in a really deep voice, then gone windmilling in.

Along these lines

Agree with James, Calzage will not give a toss about B-Hop's antics. He thinks he can beat him so won't be intimidated.

Looking forward to it. Anyone else from here going?

Did think about it mate as the tickets are fairly cheap, but, to be honest, I can't see this being an exciting fight. I see Bernie trying to spoil as much as possible to prevent Joe from picking him off at distance with Joe. Having laboured through Taylor I and II and the Wright fight, watching him fight is like watching paint dry.

I'm more tempted by Tarver Woods.

Tarver woods should be good. To be fair, most of Clinton's fights are fairly entertaining.

I enjoyed the last Johnson fight live, plus always felt he doesn't get the support he deserves.

It would be good to see lots of support for Clinton. I have a lot of respect for the way he's quietly made his way to being arguably the number 1 in his division.

A win over Tarver and hopefully he gets the winner of Hopkins v Calzaghe. Doubt it though, just don't think he's enough of a scalp for either of them.

Put it this way. Joe has insisted he wants to be a two weight World Champion. Bernie doesn't have one, and his next fight is his last.

Therefore, if he stays true to his word, it's got to be Dawson/Johnson, Erdei, Woods/Tarver or Green.

Clinton Woods seems like the most likely, provided Woods beats Tarver.

A Ring mag title is great for Joe. He gets recognised by the US media. He doesn't have to fight any mandatories to keep the belt.
