Witter did bloody well, ignore the HBO wankers - Witter won 4 rounds in my book - maybe 5!
However, if it's poop, you owe me £1,000.
Think you'll find I'm firm but fair.
I watched the fight recently after ordering it on DVD, and although he lost clearly, you got the impression that with just a bit more self belief, he could have beaten Zab. He made Judah look absolutely amateurish at times, and looked like the class fighter of the two.
I gave him four rounds I think.
The Showtime backlash was at least partly to do with the fact that 'Super' Zab Judah was made to look ordinary. Witter was meant to go over there, give it a go, and get bashed up to make Judah look good. It was all nice and cushy between Jay Larkin and Warren, and it backfired and Larkin never forgave Witter.
HAVE I MISSED SOMETHING? - HAS HATTON KILLED SOMEONE!!!!??

The Calzaghe-Froch situation is different to the Hatton-Witter one, Hatton-Witter have gone through the same stages of their careers at the same time and the fight has been called for for ages. Froch and Calzaghe have always been at different stages of their careers
yeah i did say that.
and i still stand by that.
the fight should be made.
but there's still a part of me that loves to see u lot moan about it till ya blue in the face.

There appears to be a trend with Witter fans.
Deluded, immature, and hellbent on talking about homosexuality at any possible point. Bless...
I’ve never really been able to buy into the excuse Witters people give to the Judah loss.
The only slight excuse they may have is that he had only 17 previous fights as opposed to Zab who’d had 23 previous.
Witter had been a pro 3yrs and 5mths.
Judah had been pro about 4ths longer.
Witter was 26yrs old.
Judah was 22yrs old.
Both guys were scheduled to fight – so the late notice change would have affected Zab worse than Witter I’d think. Because wasn’t he supposed to be fighting an orthodox type fighter? .. not an unorthodox switch-hitter.
Watching the fight again - it’s the same Junior Witter of today, I didn’t see anything he left out when fighting Judah that he does now.

Witter was decent domestic - Za one of the best in the World.
Witter is much better today, plus much stronger.

I could live with that I suppose. Especially if Ricky stops him, something which Cotto couldn't do, but after that, he's got to unify against Junior, providing Junior still has that belt. If he doesn't then his legacy will be tarnished, and he'll always be known for avoiding his main English rival - it's actually not as if they're new to each other as they've being touting each other for ages, so for this fight not to happen will be a massive comedown on Ricky's career, which would be sad, but a little justified in my opinion.hitman_hatton1 wrote:i think ya gonna be disappointed for a little while yet.Dioufy wrote:If Hatton doesn't fight Junior after he fights Hlatswayo/or whoever then I will be pissed and I'm a fairly die-hard Ricky fan.

Zab was coming off his best win over Bergman, the same Bergman Witter beat 4 fights previously.
Zab was supposed to be the NEW PERNELL WHITAKER with a punch.
Witter was not perceived as such, PERCEIVED LEVELS.
Even WITTER came out of the fight knowing that he could hang with the best in the World.
THAT FIGHT PROVED IT TO HIM, so why not you?
