Need to sort out rooms, any that can be recommended that will be near the venue?

If you are driving, there are several "Premier Inn" and Travelodge type places circling the city, all just a few minutes dirve away. Not luxury, but tend to be consistent.

Dont be a lightweight and drive back. I have in the past gone to work, then drove to Manchester to the boxing, then drove back and got a couple of hours sleep then went back into work.

The lace market hotel is a boutique hotel and one of the best in the country.

On a friday night, they usually do deals - if you ring the week of your planned stay if they are available they do a late-booking offer to fill them.

Plus it's 5 mins from venue and 100 yards from Living Room, Brass Monkey, Pitcher & Piano bars etc

As my brother lives in Nottingham, it may well be worth me driving up and kipping on his sofa for this one.
