Souleymane M'Baye- British now?

Post by whicker »

Just wondering why Souleymane seems to fight all his fights in the uK now. Has he moved here? Given he is a fighter at World level it would seem to make more financial sense to have him fighting in front of home fans ( IE in France).

He'll be fighting next at the O2, in front of generally indifferent fans.

His last fight was in France, not sure if he still with Warren but he was so I guess thats why he was fighting on UK cards.

i think it was FW's idea that it would get back at hatton by being in control of m'baye. looks like FW was wrongly advised that m'baye was the next big thing.

worked out well for rees though, so FW had the last laugh.

I think he has sparred with Amir Khan in the past, so financially it might be quite good for him here.

It will be on French TV and he is very much French. His last fight was in France and him being with FW has nothing to do with Hatton. Not everything at 10 stone is related Hatton. Indeed if Hatton ever sees 10 stone again I would be surprised looking at him lately.

Britain has two 10 stone champions and Hatton isn't one of them.

That's right, Warren didn't have any hang-ups when Hatton dumped him, did he ?

haha rhino is right, warren signed up this french non-draw in a ridiculous attempt to outshine Hatton's conquering of America.

WHAT A SUCCESS!

But both want to fight him. Rees seemed especially keen.
Enzo has already said it would be ''stupid'' for him to let Hatton fight Rees. That fight will not happen

Hatton is still the linear champion, worth more than a WBA/WBC strap, though his ducking of Witter is becoming laughable and seriously damaging his credibility.

Would've been great for rees though. 500k and huge exposure losing to Hatton. Or a significantly smaller purse and minimal exposure losing to Kontelink...
