Not much memorable about Corro. There was a vacuum after Monzon's retirement not really filled until Hagler got his chance. Corro ducked Hagler. I recall one of the first times I saw Hagler fight. He dispatched his opponent and after the ring announcer gave the time, Marvin took the mic and told the crowd, "Hugo Corro is a sissy! He won't fight me!" Corro did fight Antuofermo and fought to survive, not like a champion. He meekly surrendered the title and I don't think he ever fought again. No great loss to boxing.

I do remember he had a really awful 70s haircut
Corro wasn't totally bad fighter though..
He had a short but decent run as undisputed champ of a traditional
he was able to beat Rodrigo Valdes twice and Valdes was pretty tough dude ..
And Corro also beat Ronnie Harris a southpaw spoiler type who was much avoided by the other contenders and who claimed that Hagler ducked him..
The Antofuermo fight was just an ugly maul fest I thought it could have gone either way....I think the fight was in Italy..

I d say about 5 . 11 or 6 foot... was a very good boxer who won the Gold medal at '68 olimpics.... had very 'big' afro hair which made him look pretty tall but was a rangy tall fighter anyway... not under 5 .11 I'd say...
