Witter needs his fans getting off their hands and going to support the guy, not waffling on...and on...and on, on an internet forum

:box:
Because I can't afford to go to pro fights at the moment and TV Is easier to watch as your view depends on your ticket.

Those Hatton fans were fooled anyway, going to Vegas and not guaranteed a ticket Is a dumb move. Especially so near Christmas, they should of saved their money as they should of known It was a mismatch to begin with.

I had long arguments with JamesMcCdonnel & ViscousMaussa/Autobahn who both disagreed with me about Ricky ducking Witter. But now they've done a 180 and most British boxing fans who know the sport want this fight on their top3 biggest fights lists.

Even Lloyd Honeyghan when asked straight after the Mayweather loss in front on the cameras about Hatton's career said 'Ricky should go back to 140 but avoid Witter because he'd lose'. People who know boxing have lost allot of respect for Ricky Hatton over this issue and avoiding your number 1 challenger tarnishes a legacy like nothing else, especially after a brutal loss to a naturally smaller Mayweather despite him being P4P no1

And that just about sums it up!

Remember when DLH was called Chicken DLH all ovr the place?

We need a new dish.

Hatton ala Chickarn!

Not as funny as Oscar De la 'Chicken Tikka Anna Kournikova' Hoya!

:D
Ya care to translate any of that for us non-jibberish speakers

Er.no!

[edit] Biography

Born in Stockport, Greater Manchester, Hatton was raised on the Hattersley council estate in Hyde, Greater Manchester and trained at the Sale West ABC on the Racecoarse Estate.

Both his grandfather and father played for Rochdale AFC , and Ricky had a trial for the youth team. But Hatton found a local boxing club in Hyde, which he still trains at, and found he enjoyed the sport. Hatton's entrance music is the Manchester City FC club song "Blue Moon" as performed by the band "Supra." Aged 14, Hatton was taken by his uncles Ged and Paul to Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium to watch the second fight between Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank. Hatton joined the family carpet business on leaving school, but after he cut four of his fingers with a Stanley knife, his father made him a salesman to prevent him from losing his fingers and because he was a thieving littl pudendum.[4]

Hatton adopted his "Hitman" nickname from FELLOW professional wrestler Bret Hart rather than from fellow boxer Thomas Hearns.[5]

The reason Hatton won't fight Junior has fcuk all to do with Juniors small following!!

I don't see how Hatton could use Witters small following as any sort of excuse not to fight him considering the amount of people hes fought with a small following.

Hatton must be more than aware the fans want him to fight Witter and we need to keep the pressure up in the hope he will think again. I have been a Hatton fan for years and at one time went along with his reasons for not facing Witter but not any more. The excuses have become pathetic. Seems Hatton is saying he will fight someone who slags him off as long as he brings big money such as Mayweather while Witter of course doesnt. Sod the fans, sod what they want to see, Ricky doesnt fancy his chances and he wants even more millions in the bank. Hatton will pay the price for avoiding Witter in the long run. A lot of people have Witter at number 1 at 140 and Hatton can fight anyone and nothing will change that. If Hatton retires without fighting Witter his legacy despite all he has achieved will be heavily tarnished. Hatton needs to look at Haye/Macca and think again.

Just heard Junior Witter getting 5 minutes on Radio 5 to have a rant about fighting Hatton. They said Hatton will respond later. This is just before Prime Ministers question time.

When national radio stations start covering this I think the stakes are raised a bit and wonder if DG and co might get their way and see Junior in a ring with Hatton sooner rather than later.

When it's just amongst the boxing fraternity it's not that much of a big deal but once it gains visibility with Joe Public it does up the ante a bit....

I think Junior played it quite well to be honest. He is quite softly spoken and would do well to remember that most of the nation aren't WWE fans, hence the smack talk might be frowned upon. He made his point.

I don't know why you ever thought Hatton would be too quick for Wiiter.....Hatton never had the speed some people like to make out, he telegraphs most of his punches, also Hattons power was way overrated, he's never done to any of the cans he fought what Witter done to Harris.

He was great at grappling, like he said himself he got away with grappling in his fight before Mayweather and he was dumb enough to think he would get away with it against Mayweather.

Yes, because so many Americans will be listening to 5 live......

Although I take your point. Should he get a fight shown on U.S. tv, it probably wouldn't hurt to badmouth Hatton a bit.
